  • Patent number: 10711628
Abstract: A rotor member is described for a gas turbine that is adapted for rotating about a central axis, the rotor member being a blisk having a rotor blade row that extends around the central axis or a rotor disk having a mounting portion for installing rotor blades of a rotor blade row that extends around the central axis, and being axially offset from the rotor blade row and/or the mounting portion and, extending coaxially, having at least one annular and axially asymmetrical sealing fin that has a radially outer tip portion having a front flank facing the rotor blade row and/or the mounting portion, and an opposite flank facing away from the rotor blade row and/or the mounting portion; the front flank being less steep than the opposite flank; a turbine and a compressor having such a rotor member, and a method for manufacturing such a rotor member having at least one sealing fin coating.

  • Patent number: 8443336
Abstract: A method for model-based testing of an industrial system includes modeling functionality of an industrial system using a modeling computer language, enhancing the model by adding functionality or refining existing functionality, generating test suites from the system model, and executing the test suites. The modeling computer language is the Unified Modeling Language (UML), wherein modeling includes defining UML use case diagrams to describe relationships among use cases specified for the system and actors who interact with the system according to the use cases, defining UML activity diagrams to model process logic of each use case, wherein the activity diagrams comprise a sequence of activities and transitions, and defining UML class diagrams to specify data categories and attributes that are inputs to the activities of the activity diagrams, wherein data categories relevant for a use case are modeled as test variables in the activity diagram.

  • Patent number: 8228974
Abstract: A device that detects an effect which distorts a communication signal in a serial communication channel comprises an input, a detector connected to the input, a demultiplexer having a data input connected to the output of the detector, and an evaluator at each output of the demultiplexer. The input receives the distorted communication signal from the communication channel. The detector detects a feature in a symbol of the distorted communication signal and outputs the detected feature. The demultiplexer outputs the detected feature and has a plurality of control inputs. A differently delayed symbol (i?1, 1, i+1) of the communication signal is applied to each input to switch the detected feature present at the input of the demultiplexer to an output of the demultiplexer specified by the symbols present at the control inputs.

  • Publication number: 20080260077
Abstract: In order to recognize a distorting effect in a serial communication channel, a set of different symbol vectors formed of n>=2 successive communication symbols and a set of reference values of a critical characteristic of the i-th communication symbol (1in) of the symbol vectors is defined, a plurality of sequences of n communication symbols transmitted on the channel is received, and for each of the symbol vectors the value of the characteristic of the i-th communication symbol is detected in all received sequences which correspond to the symbol vector. Then the set of detected values is compared to the set of reference values, and based on the comparison, the effect is judged to be present or not to be present.

  • Publication number: 20020097470
Abstract: A process for improving the signal quality of optical signals, a transmission system for the transmission of optical signals, and a modulator for DGD are proposed. Transmission system, transmitter and process operate with a DGD- and a polarisation modulator which modulates the optical signal at the transmitter end.
