  • Patent number: 7532608
Abstract: An electronic anti-theft system and an operating method have transmit/receive antennas of different frequencies that are electrically correlated with one another. The data communication of access code signals takes place at least partially via shared signal paths. A frequency decoupling of the access code signals is also performed. The transmit/receive antennas are preferably also embodied as structurally integrated. In this way a substantial simplification of the system and simultaneously also a cost optimization can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 7499781
Abstract: A method for controlling a vehicle occupant protection device includes the steps of providing a mass of a vehicle as an operand and a dependence between a deformation of the vehicle body and work to be performed for the deformation. The vehicle acceleration is recorded with an acceleration sensor. The vehicle occupant protection device is controlled as a function of the mass of the vehicle, the work, and the acceleration. To control the device, the mass and the dependence are stored in a memory. The actual deformation of the vehicle body that occurs during an accident is determined as a function of acceleration recorded, the work, and the mass of the vehicle. The vehicle occupant protection device is controlled as a function of the actual deformation of the vehicle body or of a variable derived from it. An apparatus for controlling the device includes an acceleration sensor having a memory and an arithmetic unit.

  • Publication number: 20080061931
Abstract: In a method for controlling access to a vehicle (FZ), first an authentication signal is sent from the vehicle to an authorized mobile ID transmitter (IDG), with which authentication signal the ID transmitter is authorized to unlock the vehicle. Subsequently, the distance from the valid authorized mobile ID transmitter to the vehicle is determined. Finally, an unlock signal (ES) is transmitted from the valid authorized mobile ID transmitter to the vehicle, if the distance from the ID transmitter to the vehicle is less than a predetermined first proximity distance (ANRE). In this way an efficient control of access to a vehicle is achieved, wherein the mobile ID transmitter automatically unlocks the vehicle when a certain proximity to the vehicle is identified.

  • Publication number: 20080061932
Abstract: In a method for locking a motor vehicle (FZ), in which an opening state of at least one door of a vehicle (FZ) is detected by means of a door sensor (TSS), in addition an authorization signal (BS) is transmitted to a mobile identification transmitter (IDG) by means of a vehicle-side transceiver device (SE) if a closed state of the least one door has been detected, with the authorization signal authorizing the mobile identification transmitter to lock the motor vehicle. Finally the mobile identification transmitter includes an identification transmitter-side transceiver device (SEI) for receiving the authorization signal (BS), for emitting one or more request signals (ANS2) after receiving the authorization signal, and for transmitting a locking signal to the motor vehicle, if no relevant response signal has been received from the vehicle to a predetermined number (AZ) of request signals.
