  • Publication number: 20260054726
Abstract: A method is disclosed for changing a configuration of a speed control system of a vehicle based on detection of a driver behavior pattern. The method may include activating the speed control system, which controls a vehicle speed to a target speed; receiving traffic sign data describing a maximum permitted speed; adopting the maximum permissible speed as the target speed; and detecting a target speed correction describing a change in the target speed. The method may further include detection of a driver behavioral pattern that describes a change in the target speed based on adopting the maximum permitted speed as the target speed; and issuing a proactive configuration change suggestion when the behavior pattern is detected repeatedly, where by accepting the proactive configuration change proposal, the target speed deviates from the maximum permitted speed by a speed offset when the maximum permitted speed is adopted as the target speed.

  • Patent number: 12559125
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses are provided for animated representation of at least one object perception and of a driving intention of an assistance system for at least partially automated maneuvering of a vehicle. An object is perceived within an environment of the vehicle using the assistance system. The perceived object influences a control strategy of the at least partially automated maneuvering of the assistance system. The perceived object is represented. The vehicle is represented by an avatar. A first animation is displayed of an interaction between the avatar and the perceived object. The avatar is animated to mimic a first action based on the perceived object. A second animation is displayed representing the driving intention of the assistance system. The avatar is animated to mimic a second action based on a plan of the control strategy influenced by the perceived object.

  • Publication number: 20250381961
Abstract: A description is given of a device for operating a driving function for the automated longitudinal guidance of a vehicle at a signaling unit. The device is configured to determine that the vehicle standing at the signaling unit is able to perform an automated driving-off maneuver. The device is further configured to ascertain gaze information in relation to the gaze direction of the driver of the vehicle and to bring about or to prevent the automated driving-off maneuver based on the gaze information.

  • Patent number: 9183745
Abstract: A method for regulating a distance of a vehicle from a preceding vehicle (vehicle ahead) based on available information for the subject vehicle's speed, for the distance and for the speed of the vehicle ahead and on data regarding route information includes determining a fuel-saving situation for a fuel saving momentum utilization phase, and precomputing a consumption optimal speed profile for undisturbed travel. The method further precomputes an additional separation requirement to the vehicle ahead that is required to be able to fully implement the momentum utilization phase, and builds up the required additional separation prior to the fuel-saving situation, wherein the additional separation is built up, preferably substantially uniformly, over a separation build-up distance that is longer than the precomputed momentum utilization phase distance and/or is built up with a driver-acceptable, convoy-stabilizing, defined small speed reduction relative to the current speed of the vehicle.
