  • Publication number: 20070075668
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for power control of an electric motor, in particular a motor for driving the suction fan of a vacuum cleaner connected to an AC mains power supply. The power control is effected by varying the phase angle of the electric alternating quantity supplied to the motor by the use of semiconductor switches. AC power supplied to the motor is switched by using different delay times for the switching in each half-period of a full AC period to suppress odd harmonics, particularly the third harmonic of the mains power line frequency. Half-periods of a full period are mirrored in the next consecutive full period in order to suppress even harmonics, particularly the second harmonic of the mains power line frequency. A set of delay times t1 and t2 are defined and selected to be used in further avoiding critical delay time areas for harmonics and minimize the generation of vibrations.

  • Patent number: 6318802
Abstract: In an arrangement for a seat (2) in a vehicle, the seat is movable in a longitudinal direction along a plane (33) which slopes relative to the horizontal plane. The subframe of the seat (2) consists of devices (30, 31) fastened respectively to the vehicle and to the seat, which devices consist of two substantially similar triangular supporting frames. Resetting between a predetermined driving position and a likewise predetermined resting position is made possible by a control device (16) which is fastened to the device (30) which is itself fastened to the vehicle, which control device cooperates with a locking device fastened to the seat so that during a relocating movement between forward and rear positions of the seat the locking device (17) becomes free from at least one locking position between the vehicle seat and the device (30) fastened to the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6295028
Abstract: A dual band antenna with dual antenna elements, each including a first and a second antenna element (5b, 6b), for transmitting and/or receiving radio frequency radiation in a first, relatively low frequency band and a second, relatively high frequency band, respectively, and an electrically conductive, substantially planar reflector device (1). Each first antenna element (5b) is located close to an associated one (6b) of the second antenna elements on a front side of the reflector device so as to define first and second radiation beams. The reflector device, on each lateral side thereof, is provided with an edge portion formed as a groove (11, 12), which is open towards the front side of the reflector device and which is dimensioned so as to widen the azimuth beam width of the second beam to an angular value being close to that of the first beam, whereby both beams will have substantially the same azimuth width.

  • Patent number: 6208299
Abstract: An antenna arrangement for receiving and/or transmitting electromagnetic signals in two spaced-apart frequency bands including a first frequency band having a first center frequency (f1) and a second frequency band having a second center frequency (f2). A first set of antenna elements (A1) are operative in the first frequency band (f1), and a second set of antenna elements (A2) are operative in the second frequency band (f2). A feeding network (C, 10, C1, C2) is arranged for feeding signals to the respective sets of antenna elements. The first set of antenna elements (A1) are arranged geometrically so that the first set has a first length (D1) in a first direction. The second set of antenna elements (A2) are arranged geometrically so that the second set has a second length (D2) in said first direction. In order to obtain lobes with the same beam width, said first and second lengths (D1, D2) are substantially inversely proportional to the first and second center frequencies (f1, f2).

  • Patent number: 6005522
Abstract: Antenna devices, including a pair and larger arrays of radiators, wherein each pair is to be connected to a first transmission line having a first characteristic impedance Z1. Each pair includes at least first and second radiating elements (1, 2) and first and second impedance transformers (3, 4) for the first and second radiating elements. One side of each transformer is connected to the respective element. The other sides are inter-connected by a second transmission line (8) to which their impedances are matched. The second transmission line has a resistive first impedance R1 equal to twice the first characteristic impedance Z1. The first transmission line is to be connected to the second transmission line at a selected one of many possible contact points (9). The selected contact point then determines a signal phase difference between said first and second radiating elements.
