    Abstract: The present invention relates to a casement (1) for a glass window or a glass door, a frame and a window system containing a casement and a frame. The casement comprises an insulation material layer arrangement which is located between two wooden profile-members (3, 4). The insulation material layer arrangement has at least a first insulation layer (5) which is constructed for a high level of strength, and at least a second insulation layer (6) which is constructed for a high level of thermal insulation. Between the two wooden profile-members (3, 4), a lateral insulation layer (8) which is constructed for a high level of thermal insulation is arranged substantially perpendicularly relative to the extension direction of the insulation material layer arrangement.
