  • Patent number: 7475531
Abstract: The invention relates to a drafting device with twin top front rollers surrounded by aprons in which the aprons are guided around deflection members arranged above the area facing away from the clamping surface of the front roller pair. In order to achieve a low-friction, brake-free and low-wear running of the aprons, they are guided with only a slight tension around the deflection members. For this, the tendency of the aprons to assume a circular form in the circumferential direction is utilized. This tendency brings about, with the appropriately selected interval between the top front rollers and between the surfaces of the deflection members, the low contact pressure on the surfaces striven for and the low tractive tension in the aprons striven for.

  • Publication number: 20070169459
Abstract: The invention relates to a drafting device with twin top front rollers (3, 4) surrounded by aprons (10, 11) in which the aprons are guided around deflection members (9) arranged above the area facing away from the clamping surface of the front roller pair (1/3/4). In order to achieve a low-friction, brake-free and low-wear running of the aprons (10, 11), they are guided with only a slight tension around the deflection members (9). For this, the tendency of the aprons to assume a circular form in the circumferential direction is utilized. This tendency brings about, with the appropriately selected interval between the top front rollers (3, 4) and between the bearing surfaces (12) of the deflection members (9), the low contact pressure on the bearing surfaces striven for and the low tractive tension in the aprons (10, 11) striven for.

  • Patent number: 6158091
Abstract: A drafting frame is provided with at least one compaction unit in which a belt with a perforation under suction serves to draw together the fibers of a drafted roving. The belt is juxtaposed with a stripper spaced from the belt to remove fiber accommodations thereon. The gap between the stripper edge and the belt is adjustable.

  • Patent number: 5915510
Abstract: To allow the gap between a pair of belts and the output pair of rollers of a drafting frame for a textile machine to be reduced, the sliver compaction funnel which is disposed at the inlet side of the nip of the output pair of rollers is mounted on an arm which extends alongside the upper rollers or upper belt. The funnel can be mounted on two arms which straddle the ends of the upper roller or upper belt.

  • Patent number: 5373689
Abstract: A two-sided ring-spinning machine has a frame and a pair of parallel spindle banks each holding a respective row of bobbins. A bobbin-changing apparatus has respective gripper beams engageable with the bobbins of the spindle banks, respective scissor linkages pivoted on the frame and on the gripper beams extendable for raising the respective beams and collapsible for lowering the respective beams, and a single force-transmitting element connected to both of the linkages and displaceable longitudinally in one direction for extending the linkages and in the opposite direction for collapsing the linkages. A single drive is connected between the frame and the force-transmitting element for simultaneously vertically displacing both beams.

  • Patent number: 4959953
Abstract: A funnel for delivering yarn for building a package on a spindle of a spinning machine has an entry channel for the passage of yarn therethrough into the interior of the funnel and an exit opening for the passage of yarn therethrough from the interior to the exterior of the funnel, the interior of the funnel having a lateral extent sufficient to allow the formation of a yarn balloon of controlled extent during building of the package on the spindle. The funnel can contain a guide portion projecting interiorly of the funnel at a spacing from the entry channel and a neck portion in which the entry channel is formed.

  • Patent number: 4938014
Abstract: A yarn feeding funnel for a textile spinning machine having an upper shaft portion and a body portion. An axial yarn passage extends through the shaft portion and an outlet passage extends from the axial passage to an opening on the surface of the body portion. The body portion has an outer surface of substantially constant inclination with respect to the axis of the funnel and of sufficient extent to substantially prevent the yarn from moving radially outwardly away from the funnel during its travel thereover.

  • Patent number: 4843809
Abstract: In a spinning machine of the type having plural spinning stations each including a drafting system, a bobbin spindle and a coaxial funnel, the automatic exchange of empty bobbin tubes for fully wound bobbin tubes on the spindles is accomplished by interrupting the spinning operation without yarn breakage or severing, separating the spindles and funnels axially and radially from one another, removing the fully wound bobbin tubes and placing empty bobbin tubes on the spindles, engaging the still unbroken yarns with the empty bobbin tubes, then severing the yarns between the removed fully wound bobbin tubes and the replacement empty tubes, and repositioning the funnels and spindles and resuming spinning operation.
