Publication number: 20080310987Abstract: The rotary piston machine has a bypass channel, which is formed through two openings (15, 16) provided in a sidewall (6) of its delivery housing (4) and a channel (17) extending into this sidewall (6) in such a way that the bypass channel (17) is restricted on one side by a wall area of the sidewall (6) and on the opposite side by a channel cover (19) embedded in this sidewall (6). The housing (25) of a pressure relief valve (14) is formed cup-shaped in the channel cover (19) in whose cylindrical inner surface (27) a closing member (2) is operated piston-like. The machine which is designed from few individual parts is suitable especially for the space-saving and direct coupling in the engine space of a motor vehicle, in which its pressure relief valve (14) provided in the bypass channel overcomes the disadvantages of the rotational speed-dependent pressure difference between suction and pressure sides.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 17, 2008Publication date: December 18, 2008Inventor: Stefan Kross

Patent number: 6969094Abstract: A tube coupling for the detachable coupling of tube line sections of a high-pressure tubing system. The tube coupling includes two coupling blocks held together by a clamping screw, whereby one of the coupling blocks has a coupling plug that engages a plug socket provided on the other coupling block. A sealing ring is formed of a plastically deformable material and is enclosed between a front face of the coupling plug and a bottom-side sealing surface of the plug socket. In order to protect the sealing ring from being lost, damages and/or contaminated during assembly or opening and dosing the coupling, in a preassembled condition it is enclosed within a protective socket. To homogeneously load the sealing ring, the sealing ring is located at one point of a supporting triangle, the two other supporting points of being formed by a pair of supporting surfaces arranged side by side at an outer end of side flanges of the coupling blocks.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2003Date of Patent: November 29, 2005Assignee: Visteon Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jörn Fröhling, Stefan Sturm, Frank Obrist, Peter Kuhn, Stefan Kröss

Patent number: 6311468Abstract: A device for producing a twisted yarn by an integrated or combined spinning and twisting process is provided and comprises a two-for-one twisting spindle with at least two spinning rotors, positioned within the yarn balloon produced by the twisting process, for producing the individual yarns to be twisted, into which spinning rotors the disentangled fiber material is supplied respectively by the fiber supply tubes, which are connected to the fiber material disentangling units. The fiber material disentangling units are combined to a single fiber material disentangling apparatus with common drive elements for the two disentangling units.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2000Date of Patent: November 6, 2001Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventors: Markus Beckmann, Karl-Josef Brockmanns, Ingo Filz, Roland Greis, Stefan Kross, Guido Spix

Patent number: 6244028Abstract: In order to be able to operate a spindle as a multi twisting spindle as well as a doubling spindle or a bobbin peg, the spindle has a rotatably driven spindle shaft; a twisting pot rotatably driven by the spindle shaft and having a bottom with a radially extending yarn guide channel; a rotatingly driven spool carrier for receiving a spool; a hollow spindle axle centrally guided through the spool carrier and connected to the yarn guide channel; and a centering eye arranged on an extension of the hollow spindle axle. A placement member is introduced into the spool carrier and vertically reciprocated for placement especially of a doubled yarn onto the spool rotating together with the driven spool carrier.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventor: Stefan Kross

Patent number: 6196491Abstract: In a method for winding a yarn onto a spool body, the conical spool body is driven about a longitudinal axis by a first drive unit. A yarn is guided onto the spool body by a reciprocating yarn guide thereby winding the yarn onto the spool body. A constant yarn winding speed is provided along the length of the spool body during the entire yarn winding process by adjusting the revolutions per minute of the spool body synchronously with a movement of the reciprocating yarn guide. The revolutions per minute are controlled by a computing and control unit based on the instant position of the reciprocating yarn guide and the diameter of the spool body at the instant position. The device for performing this method has a sensor for detecting the changing diameter of the spool body, and the reciprocating yarn guide has a detection device for detecting the instant position of the reciprocating yarn guide.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1999Date of Patent: March 6, 2001Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventors: Stefan Kross, Paul Schroers, Hans Raasch, Guido Spix

Patent number: 6047535Abstract: In a method for a contact-free energy and signal transmission for a textile machine between a first stationary part and a second stationary part separated by an air gap, wherein at least one component consisting of an electrically non-conducting material is moved through the air gap, wherein an alternating current signal of a frequency of at least 10 kHz is inductively transmitted by a transformer, having a primary side arranged at the first stationary part and a secondary side arranged at the second stationary part, wherein the primary side and the secondary side are separated by the air gap, a transformer is employed having only one coil pair. Energy and signals are transmitted via the one coil pair by a common carrier signal. The carrier signal provides energy transmission. The signals to be transmitted are imprinted onto the carrier signal as a frequency modulation such that the carrier signal jumps between two frequency values having a fixed spacing.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 1998Date of Patent: April 11, 2000Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventors: Paul Schroers, Guido Spix, Stefan Kross

Patent number: 6047537Abstract: In a method for producing a twisted yarn by an integrated spinning and twisting process, individual spun yarns are spun from loose fiber material in at least two spinning devices. The spun yarns are combined and guided in a first direction and subjected to a common first twisting to form a once twisted yarn. The once twisted yarn is then guided in a second direction opposite the first direction according to the two-for-one twisting principle, to form a yarn balloon in order to subject the once twisted yarn to a second twisting. The resulting yarn is then fed through a centering point to a winding device. The loose fiber material is fed into the annular chamber, that is coaxial to the yarn balloon and in which the yarn balloon freely rotates, and is guided substantially radially through the yarn balloon such that the yarn of the yarn balloon directly passes through the loose fiber material.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1999Date of Patent: April 11, 2000Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventors: Markus Beckmann, Roland Greis, Stefan Kross, Wilfried Ruetten, Guido Spix

Patent number: 6006509Abstract: A method for continuously producing a twisted yarn with minimal curling tendency includes the steps of spinning a yarn and directly thereafter, within a time period of less than one second, twisting the yarn. The yarn tension at the end of the spinning step can be adjusted to be essentially the same as the yarn tension at the end of the twisting step, or, in the alternative, the yarn tension at the end of the twisting step is greater than 70% of the yarn tension at the end of the spinning step.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 1998Date of Patent: December 28, 1999Assignee: Volkmann GmbH & Co.Inventors: Ulrich Ballhausen, Wilfried Rutten, Markus Beckmann, Guido Spix, Stefan Kross
