  • Patent number: 9841764
Abstract: A method for controlling a motor vehicle includes: ascertaining a driving strategy as a function of an environment; detecting a driving strategy of a motor vehicle driving ahead; ascertaining that the driving strategies deviate from each other; and controlling the motor vehicle in accordance with the driving strategy of the motor vehicle driving ahead.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 16, 2014
Date of Patent: December 12, 2017
    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH
    Inventors: Stefan Kueperkoch, Jeannine Schwarzkopf
  • Publication number: 20160187884
Abstract: A method for controlling a motor vehicle according to the invention includes steps of ascertaining a driving strategy as a function of an environment; detecting a driving strategy of a motor vehicle driving ahead; ascertaining that the driving strategies deviate from each other; and controlling the motor vehicle in accordance with the driving strategy of the motor vehicle driving ahead.

  • Publication number: 20160137203
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle includes: detecting an intended strategy of a vehicle occupant for a driving strategy of the vehicle; comparing the intended driving strategy to a number of multiple possible driving strategies for a current driving situation of the vehicle; and controlling the vehicle as a function of a driving strategy that is selected based on the comparison to the number of possible driving strategies.

  • Patent number: 9050953
Abstract: A method for determining the vehicle linear velocity of a vehicle having all-wheel drive, and which is equipped with a central lock and a vehicle controller to implement an ABS or ASR control. The vehicle linear velocity is able to be determined if a braking-pressure difference is adjusted at the wheels of an axle, and, in the case of an ABS control, the vehicle linear velocity is determined from the rotational speed of the wheel having the higher speed, and from the slip of this wheel, and, in the case of an ASR control, it is determined from the rotational speed of the wheel having the lower speed, and from the slip of this wheel.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 11, 2008
Date of Patent: June 9, 2015
    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH
    Inventor: Stefan Kueperkoch
  • Patent number: 8565995
Abstract: In a method for detecting wheel slip at at least one wheel which is driven by an engine, the drive torque acting upon the wheel is varied, and the reaction of the wheel to the change in the drive torque is measured and evaluated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 2, 2008
Date of Patent: October 22, 2013
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Stefan Kueperkoch, Frank Leibeling, Jasper-Jeen Jeninga
  • Patent number: 7877177
Abstract: A system and method for providing a fault tolerant vehicle dynamics control (VDC) is described. The system includes a fault tolerance module that receives an indication of a fault in at least one of the actuators of the VDC and selects a fault compensation mode to maintain the stability of the motor vehicle in light of the received fault indication. The fault tolerance module proceeds by diagnosing at least one fault in at least one of the actuators, selecting a fault compensation mode based on the detected at least one fault and the driving condition, and compensating for the at least one fault by optimally controlling remaining operable actuators according to the fault compensation mode.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 5, 2007
Date of Patent: January 25, 2011
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
