    Abstract: Methods are provided for abrogating tripeptidyl peptidase II (TPPII) activity and suppressing c-MYC induced abnormal centriole duplication. Methods of inhibiting TPPII using selective inhibitors such as butabindide provide a preventive or therapeutic strategy to target genomic instability, tumorigenic progression and chemotherapy resistance in tumors with overexpression of c-Myc.
