Abstract: A pump station for intermediate storage of liquid includes a tank configured to house the liquid, an inlet for influent liquid flow, a pump configured to intermittently discharge liquid from the tank, an outlet for effluent liquid flow, and a flush pipe having a lower opening provided in the tank and an upper opening. The lower opening of the flush pipe is located below a pump start liquid level of the tank, and the flush pipe includes a valve configured to open/close fluid communication between the lower opening of the flush pipe and the upper opening of the flush pipe. The valve is located above the pump start liquid level of the tank. The flush pipe is configured to alternate between a primed state and a released state.
