  • Publication number: 20110318612
Abstract: A battery module having at least one battery and an indicator unit, wherein the status of the indicator unit displays, whether the battery module is fresh or used, wherein an irreversible change of the indicator unit can be brought about externally, wherein through the irreversible change it is displayed that the battery module is no longer fresh, and wherein the status of the indicator unit is externally queryable.

  • Publication number: 20110139957
Abstract: An object support column with a vertical tube, a base part arranged at a first end of the vertical tube, a guide bush fastened to a second end of the vertical tube, a telescope tube arranged coaxially in the vertical tube and movable along a center longitudinal axis in the guide bush. A guide tube arranged in a pressure tube. A piston is guided in the guide tube. A piston rod is fastened to the piston, and extends through a second work chamber guided outward by a sealing and guiding device at a first end of the pressure tube and is arranged with its other end at the base part of the vertical tube. A flow connection between the first work chamber and the second work chamber can be shut off by a valve which can be actuated by an actuating device. The pressure tube is arranged to be movable along the center longitudinal axis relative to the telescope tube.

  • Publication number: 20110134817
Abstract: A universal interface for a wireless adapter, which supports a communication protocol used in automation technology, wherein associated with the wireless adapter are a first energy supply unit for energy supply of the wireless adapter and a radio module for communication with a superordinated control unit via a radio network, wherein provided on the interface are at least five connection terminals, which are so embodied that, as a function of a field installation that is to be connected, a portion of the connection terminals is connectable either with different embodiments of field devices or with a servicing device.

  • Publication number: 20100283472
Abstract: A method for monitoring the remaining service life of a battery used for operating a field device in automation technology. The present power consumption of the battery is ascertained. Then, during a first phase of life, power consumption of the battery ascertained during operation of the field device is compared with a predetermined threshold value. In the case of exceeding the predetermined threshold value, during a second phase of life, the battery is exposed to defined load spikes at predetermined time intervals. Voltage collapses corresponding to the defined load spikes are detected, and a warning report is generated when the voltage collapses reach a predetermined maximum limit value.

  • Publication number: 20100261044
Abstract: A method for monitoring charge level or remaining capacity of a battery pack, a disposable battery or a rechargeable battery, which is used to supply energy for an automation technology, field device having a data storage unit associated with the battery pack, disposable battery or rechargeable battery. Specific information about the battery pack, disposable battery or rechargeable battery is stored in the data storage unit and process-specific and operation-specific information about energy consumption is written to the data storage unit. In the case of the battery pack, disposable battery or rechargeable battery being used in a second automation technology field device, remaining service life of the battery pack, the disposable battery or the rechargeable battery is calculated and output on the basis of the process- and operation-specific information.

  • Publication number: 20100244806
Abstract: The invention relates to an autarkic field device or an autarkic radio adapter (2) for a field device (1), of automation technology fed with limited energy via an energy supply unit (3) associated, or associable, with the field device (1) or the radio adapter (2), characterized in that, between the energy supply unit (3) and an internal voltage source (4), whose voltage exceeds, or at times can exceed, the voltage of the energy supply unit (3), a barrier (5a; 5b) of at least one diode group having at least two diodes (6) connected in parallel is arranged, which blocks flow of electrical current from the internal voltage source (4) to the energy supply unit (3) or to the connection terminals (7) of the field device (1) or of the radio adapter (2) for the energy supply unit (3).
