  • Publication number: 20080110034
Abstract: Razor handles are provided for razors having a battery-powered functionality. Methods of manufacturing such handles are also provided. In one implementation, the handle includes a unitary grip portion constructed to receive a razor head at one end thereof, and a battery cover, mounted on the grip portion. The grip portion and the battery cover, when joined, may together define a water-tight unit prior to mounting of the razor head on the grip portion.

  • Publication number: 20070137043
Abstract: An electric shaving apparatus has a hand-holdable housing and a shaving head. The shaving head is coupled to the housing via at least one first elastic element and has at least one first shaving cutter. The shaving apparatus includes an electric motor for generating an oscillatory motion of the shaving head and an oscillatory motion differing therefrom of at least one second shaving cutter. The electric motor has a first drive component with at least one electric coil for generating a magnetic field, and a second drive component. The first drive component of the electric motor is rigidly connected to the shaving head or to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20070050983
Abstract: Handles are provided for battery operated razors. In some implementations, the handles include (a) a housing including a grip portion defining a chamber having an interior wall, and a battery cover removably mounted on the grip portion, the housing being configured to contain one or more batteries, and (b) a closing system, including a first component within the battery cover, and a second component secured to the interior wall of the grip portion, the first component being configured to move axially within the battery cover during engagement of the battery cover with the grip portion, and being biased toward a predetermined axial position.

  • Publication number: 20070050996
Abstract: Razor handles are provided. In one aspect, a razor handle includes a housing constructed to hold a battery, an aperture in the housing, a microporous membrane covering the aperture and sealed against a surface of the housing surrounding the aperture, a cover disposed over the membrane and aperture, and a space provided between the cover and the surface of the housing, the space being configured to allow gas exiting the aperture to escape from under the cover. In another aspect, a razor handle includes a housing constructed to hold a battery, the housing being configured to be held by a user during shaving and to receive a razor head, an aperture in the housing, and a microporous membrane covering the aperture and sealed against a surface of the housing surrounding the aperture.
