  • Patent number: 10067249
Abstract: Radiation-sensitive material embedded in a disposable radiochemistry device gives the device the additional capability of recording radiation dose, for readout at a later time. There is provided a device comprising means for the introduction of a precursor compound, means for the introduction of a radionuclide, a reaction vessel for reacting said precursor compound and said suitable source of a radionuclide to obtain a radiolabelled compound, and one or more pieces of radiation-sensitive material embedded into said device wherein at least one of said pieces is positioned to be exposed to radioactivity associated with said radiolabelled compound.

  • Patent number: 8260559
Abstract: A system and method for measurement of radioactivity concentration of a radiopharmaceutical are disclosed. The radiopharmaceutical may be a radioactive tracer solution including a tracer solution and a buffer solution. The system may include a vial that receives the tracer solution and the buffer solution; a scale; a radioactivity measuring device; and a controller that determines the radioactive concentration based on a measured radioactivity of the tracer solution and the buffer solution in the vial, and a weight of the tracer solution and the buffer solution in the vial. The method may include the steps of (1) transferring the tracer solution into a vial; (2) measuring a radioactivity of the tracer solution in the vial; (3) determining a weight necessary to achieve a desired radioactivity concentration; and (4) diluting the tracer solution in the vial to the determined weight with a buffer solution.

Date of Patent: September 4, 2012
    Assignee: General Electric Company

  • Patent number: 7770434
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for in-process integrity test of a filter. The method may comprise the steps of: coupling a gas source to an input side of a filter without removing the filter from a dispenser system, the gas source supplying a gas and controlling a pressure of the gas; coupling a tube to an output side of the filter, the tube being filled with a liquid; increasing the pressure while monitoring the tube, with a light beam, for a displacement of the liquid by one or more gas bubbles; and determining a value of the pressure at which the displacement of the liquid is detected.

  • Publication number: 20090311157
Abstract: A microscale solution for conducting [18F]fluoride phase transfer and subsequent radiosynthesis of 2-[18F]FDG that eliminates the azeotropic drying process. [18F]fluoride phase transfer is performed using an inexpensive disposable microchip. Additionally, each subsequent each step may be performed on the same single microchip.
