Publication number: 20220413475Abstract: A manufacturing facility and a manufacturing method are provided herein to manufacture a product according to a specification in a digital manufacturing order. Manufacturing system units to be used are automatically scheduled (S2) and controlled (S3). While performing the manufacturing method, it is determined (S4) whether inspection data for a production result meet assessment criteria. Upon determining that a production result does not meet an assessment criterion, a derived manufacturing order is generated that specifies which production step(s) need to be repeated to obtain a production result that is more likely to meet the assessment criterion. The scheduling is updated in accordance with the derived manufacturing order and optionally newly received manufacturing orders resulting in a continuous manufacturing process.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 28, 2022Publication date: December 29, 2022Inventors: Gideon Daniel MAIJ, Nick JANSSEN, Jonathan VAN DER SPEK, Stefan RINK, Yueting LIU, Reinder Alexander Lambertus KOELSTRA

Publication number: 20220212277Abstract: The invention relates to a wire electrode for spark-erosion cutting, comprising a core (2), which has a metal or a metal alloy, and a sheath (3, 4, 6), which surrounds the core (2) and comprises one or more sheath layers (3, 4, 6), one of which comprises regions (3) having a morphology corresponding to block-like particles, which are spatially separated, at least over part of their periphery, from one another, from the material of the layer comprising said regions, from the material of one or more other layers and/or from the core material by cracks, characterized in that, in a wire cross-section, viewed perpendicularly or parallel to the wire longitudinal axis, more than 50% of the surface area of a region having the morphology of a block-like particle has a copper-zinc alloy with a zinc concentration of 38 to 49 wt. %. There is optionally a thin cover layer on the block-like particles, which cover layer consists of more than 50 wt. % zinc oxide with a thickness of 0.05 to 2 ?m.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2020Publication date: July 7, 2022Applicant: Berkenhoff GmbHInventors: Tobias NÖTHE, Bernd BARTHEL, Stefan RINK

Publication number: 20210370607Abstract: According to some aspects, a system for identifying a printed object is provided. The system may include an imaging device configured to image a three-dimensional (3D) printed object and a processor coupled to the imaging device. The processor may be configured to receive information generated as a result of imaging the 3D printed object with the imaging device, identify a set of features for the 3D printed object using the received information, compare the set of features with multiple reference sets of features, each of the multiple reference sets of features being associated with a respective 3D object in a plurality of 3D objects, and identify, based at least in part on results of the comparison, a 3D object from the plurality of 3D objects that matches the 3D printed object.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2021Publication date: December 2, 2021Applicant: Shapeways, Inc.Inventors: Daphne Marlies Laméris, Jop Antonius Van Rooij, Thomas de Wolf, Laurus Augustinus Hilte, Tiago André Costa São José, Sebastien Boutard, Elena Korina Koutsiota, Jelmer Johan Siekmans, Maarten van Dijk, Matthew Philip Boyle, Zachary Hansen Dillon, Edward Kurt Summers, Bram van Zandvoort, Fábio Martins Moreira, Lucia Henriëtta Petronella Leenders, Jules Witte, Hans Louis Robert Lambermont, Stefan Rink, Daniël Gerrit Mulder

Patent number: 10442137Abstract: A system for planning printing of three-dimensional (3D) objects. The system comprises at least one computer hardware processor, and at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing processor-executable instructions that, when executed by the at least one computer hardware processor, cause the at least one computer hardware processor to perform acts of: accessing information specifying a plurality of 3D objects to be printed using at least one 3D printer, the at least one 3D printer including a first 3D printer; determining a priority for each of at least some of the plurality 3D objects to obtain determined 3D object priorities; assigning, based on the determined 3D object priorities, a subset of the plurality of 3D objects to a first printer tray adapted for use with the first 3D printer; and obtaining a packing plan indicating an arrangement of the subset of the 3D objects within the first printer tray.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2017Date of Patent: October 15, 2019Assignee: Shapeways, Inc.Inventors: Hunter Yaw, Stefan Rink, Robert Capo, Jacob Sonk, Paul Hortiatis, Martin Delgado-Gambini, Barry Schepers, Tiago André Costa São José, Zachary Hansen, Maarten van Dijk
