  • Patent number: 5938125
Abstract: A throat beak head (1) comprises an actuating press grip (8) having an integral beak (9) and located therein a filler (23) arranged in a mount (24) diametrally passing through the full length of said press grip (8) and fitted in the emerging direction (36) of the medium from the nozzle (10), as a result of which the risk of parts of the beak (9) being expelled due to the delivery pressure and gaining access to the windpipe when using the head (1) is substantially reduced.

  • Patent number: 5901883
Abstract: A discharge unit (1) contains two separate delivery units (15) to be actuated in common through which the medium flows along a module (35) separate from two base bodies (4,5) to two atomizer nozzles (48) so that due to their spray cones overlapping each other the two separately emerging media are intermingled in utmost fine dispersion and, e.g. with the formation of a gelling blended medium, react with each other. As a result of this two media reacting with each other chemically or physically can be intermingled not before being outside of the discharge nozzles (48) and thereby simultaneously applied to the region of application, e.g. a mucuous membrane.

  • Patent number: 5875938
Abstract: In a discharge device including two mutually shiftable units (2, 3) permanent magnets (14, 24, 33, 34) are provided for controlling a piston unit (20) and valves (13, 23, 45), the magnetic force of these magnets being provided more particularly to cause a reset movement into the starting position. These magnets may be immersed in the medium or surrounded on all sides by the medium flow, thus enabling mechanical springs to be eliminated and assuring highly reliable functioning.

  • Patent number: 5862962
Abstract: A fluid media dispenser is disclosed having an uptake tube or wall body configured with differing wall thicknesses so that, due to material shrinkage, a lateral curve is formed in the uptake tube or wall body which facilitates removal of the formed dispenser from a mold. A simplified injection mold/extrusion nozzle method for producing this dispenser is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5813570
Abstract: A discharge apparatus for flowable media, comprising: a basic body, at least partly receiving a pump unit; the pump unit having a pump chamber connectable to a discharge opening via a discharge channel; a pump cylinder and a pump piston bounding the pump chamber; the pump cylinder forming a medium reservoir; the pump piston being displaceably guided in the pump cylinder for discharging all the medium contained in the medium reservoir by a single pump stroke in a pump stroke direction; and, at least one breakable material bridge between the pump unit and the basic body which can be destroyed by an actuating force exerted in the pump stroke direction, whereby the medium is discharged from the apparatus with a predetermined discharging pressure by a predetermined actuating force level and the apparatus is provided with a destroyable tamper-evident closure.

  • Patent number: 5791518
Abstract: A discharge apparatus has an indicating device which can be set to different numbers of pump strokes with a handle and which can be operated rearwards by one step by each pump stroke performance. A pivot spout forming the medium outlet is formed by a tube with constant cross-sections. For securing the position of the discharge actuator and the spout there is a common securing device. The medium outlet can be closed in pressure-tight manner by a closure formed by the device. An outlet channel forms a channel system for the preparation of the medium during flow. This leads to a use-advantageous discharge apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5655689
Abstract: A discharge apparatus provided as a single spray has in the interior of the discharge connection as an evaporation barrier for the medium a rotary closure, which can be opened and closed by a mutual rotation of the casing and the head or the body and the medium reservoir. For this purpose a shaft part in the form of a filler is formed from two longitudinally, interconnected bar parts, which rotatably engage in one another and form closure parts of the closure located within a cover sleeve. This allows very long storage times of the filled discharge apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5437398
Abstract: In a discharge apparatus (1) the restoring spring (21) of a restoring system (20) for a discharge pump (7) and for valves (26,30) is positioned, separated from the medium, in a tightly closed spring chamber (22). The medium inlet (31) into the discharge pump (7) is positioned eccentrically thereto and issues into an external, annular presuction chamber (15) from which the medium passes via an intermediate valve (30) into the pump chamber (39). This avoids contact between the medium and metallic parts and this gives both favorable flow paths for the medium and a compact pump construction.

  • Patent number: 5375745
Abstract: A discharge apparatus (1a) has at least one slide (7a) with a bearing and/or contact surfaces (17a, 21a or 31a, 35a) engaging in pretensioned manner in at least one working position, in which for at least one of the surfaces is provided a device (20, 20'), with which it is possible to vary the compressive stress acting on the surface as a function of the control path of the slide. For example, piston lips (18a, 22a) can be relived in the rest position for reducing temperature-dependent deformation tendencies, or a valve closing stress can be increased or decreased.

  • Patent number: 5366122
Abstract: In a discharge apparatus (1) on a basic body (8) is provided a pneumatic pump (19) and axially adjacent thereto a casing chamber (14) for receiving a magazine (15) for individual doses of a pulverulent or similar medium, whose magazine chamber (30) can be transferred into a discharge position, in which it is connected by one inlet end (46) and one outlet end (47) to a feed path (20) for the pumped air. At remote ends of the basic body (8) are provided pressure handles (5, 6) for the discharge actuation and a handle (7) for indexing or replacing a magazine body (16). Opening devices (50, 51) are used for the automatic opening of the magazine chamber (30) on transfer into the discharge position. This leads to a very reliable operation in the case of compact construction and easy handling.
