  • Publication number: 20240051346
Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic tire for a vehicle, having at least one surface element (2) that is formed on the outer surface of the tire and has a structure (6) which contrasts with a base level (NB) and gives the surface element (2) a roughness. The contrast structure (6) is formed by a multiplicity of contrast structure cells (6a), which coincide in shape in plan view and are joined together in the form of a grid, wherein the contrast structure cells (6a) have irregular peak and trough structures (6b) of a surface-covering configuration, wherein the arrangement of the contrast structure cells (6a) and the configuration of the irregular peak and trough structures (6b) are such that, when considered in plan view, the irregular peak and trough structures (6b) can be transferred one into the other by congruence mapping.

  • Publication number: 20240017574
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle tire (1) with sidewalls (2) and a tread (3) and with at least one hatched area (4) on at least one of the sidewalls (2) and/or the tread (3), wherein the hatched area (4) has elongated hatching ribs (5) which are arranged largely parallel to one another. The invention also relates to a vulcanization mold and to a method for producing the vehicle tire. The object is to influence the contrast effect in an even more targeted fashion and to further increase the contrast effect. It is also intended to make it possible for the tire to be produced reliably by means of a vulcanization mold. This is achieved by each hatching rib (5) having branches (7), wherein in each case precisely one short transverse elevation (6) branches off from each branch (7) of the branches, and by the short transverse elevations (6) all branching off on a same first side (9) of the hatching ribs (5) and ending in a free end (8).

  • Patent number: 11453248
Abstract: An off-road tread profile with radially elevated profile elements, which are separated by circumferential channels, and with transversely running channels which open into circumferential channels, wherein the circumferential channels are formed, along their extent over the circumference of the tire, with a varied axial inclination, wherein, in the channel base of a circumferential channel, elevated stone deflectors are formed so as to be free from contact with the channel walls, which stone deflectors are formed from a cylindrical or frustoconical central body with maximum diameter D, the cylinder or cone axis of which is oriented in the radial direction, and from in each case one web-like body situated in front of the body in the extent direction of the circumferential channel and one web-like body situated behind, wherein the two web-like bodies are each formed so as to extend from the shell surface of the central body so as to be oriented parallel to the extent direction of the circumferential channel and

  • Publication number: 20220274446
Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic tire for a vehicle, having formed on its outer surface at least one surface element (2) with a contrast structure (6) which imparts a roughness to the surface element (3). In the case of a tire of said type, it is the intention to make available a contrast structure with a considerably improved contrast effect. This is achieved in that the contrast structure (6) is a large-area, nonuniform hill-and-dale contrast structure (6) having an areal roughness value Sa according to EN ISO 25178 of 50 ?m to 150 ?m.

  • Patent number: 11420479
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire having a tread divided by circumferential grooves, which have a profile depth (T), into block rows running in encircling fashion in a circumferential direction and/or profile ribs which are structured in the manner of profile blocks. Block rows are divided by transverse grooves into blocks and, like the profile ribs structured in the manner of profile blocks, are equipped with blind grooves proceeding from the circumferential grooves. Transverse and/or blind grooves are provided which, owing to a connection of blocks adjacent in the circumferential direction and/or of the block-like structures, have a depth smaller than profile depth (T). The connection has at least two connection steps of different heights, the lowest is formed in each case at the region in which the transverse grooves and/or blind grooves open into the circumferential grooves.

  • Publication number: 20220219495
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire (1) having sidewalls (2) and a tread (3) and having at least one marking surface (4) on at least one of the sidewalls (2) and/or on the tread (3), wherein the marking surface (4) has two parallel sets (5, 5?) of elongate elevations (6, 6?), wherein the two parallel sets (5, 5?) intersect and form a parallelogram grid. The problem addressed is therefore that of influencing the contrast effect in even more targeted fashion, and further increasing the contrast effect. It is also the intention to realize easy producibility of the tire. This is achieved in that the parallelograms of the parallelogram grid have an interior angle (7) of 35° to 90°, and in that at least one parallelogram, preferably at least half of the parallelograms, particularly preferably all of the parallelograms, has or have an additional elevation (8) within its or their areal extent.

  • Publication number: 20220219496
Abstract: A pneumatic vehicle tire (1) having sidewalls (2) and having a tread (3) and having at least one hatching area (4) on at least one of the sidewalls (2) and/or on the tread (3), wherein the hatching area (4) has mutually adjacently arranged hatching elements (5), wherein each hatching element (5) has a hatching rib (51). The problem addressed is that of influencing the contrast effect in even more targeted fashion, and further increasing the contrast effect. It is furthermore sought to allow improved ventilation capability during the production of the tire by means of a vulcanization mold. This is achieved in that each hatching element (5) has short transverse elevations (53), which cross the hatching rib (51) in crossing regions (52), wherein the short transverse elevations (53) cross in each case exactly one hatching rib (51).

  • Patent number: 11254168
Abstract: The tread profile of a vehicle tire has a circumferential rib. Grooves are formed in the circumferential rib with a width, which increases along its entire extent, wherein the grooves are formed with a vertex point between a first portion and a second portion. The groove direction from the beginning to the vertex point is formed with a greater directional component in the circumferential direction than in the axial direction and between the vertex point and the entry into the circumferential groove is formed with a greater directional component in the axial direction than in the circumferential direction. The groove is formed in the first portion with a depth T1, which increases continuously from the beginning over the first portion up to reaching its maximum value T1max at the vertex point and is formed with a constant depth T2 in the second portion wherein T2?T1max.
