  • Publication number: 20150090268
Abstract: A headband device for a respiratory mask includes a strap portion including a multi-layered construction including an inner cover layer, an outer cover layer, and foam padding. The inner cover layer has a face contacting surface adapted to contact a patient's skin in an application position of the headband device. The outer cover layer is adapted to be oriented outwardly from the patient's skin in the application position of the headband device. The inner cover layer and the outer cover layer are coupled to one another via connection points that are laterally spaced from one another when viewed in cross-section, each connection point being spaced outwardly away from the face contacting surface of the inner cover layer so as to position the connection points outwardly away from the patient's skin in the application position of the headband device.

  • Publication number: 20150007825
Abstract: A breathing mask arrangement includes a mask frame, a sealing structure provided to the mask frame and adapted to form a seal with a patient's face, and a forehead support device movably mounted to the mask frame for adjustable movement with respect to the mask frame. The sealing structure is movably mounted to the mask frame for adjustable movement with respect to the mask frame, and the adjustable movement of the sealing structure is independent of the adjustable movement of the forehead support device.

  • Publication number: 20140290656
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for carrying out a signal-processing viewing of a measurement signal that is correlated with the respiratory activity of an individual, for example, of a measurement signal that is correlated with the respiratory gas. The aim of the invention is to provide solutions with which an improved electronic analysis of the signals that are representative with regard to respiratory activity can be achieved. To this end, the invention provides that viewing results are obtained within the scope of a signal-processing viewing of said measurement signal and make a differentiation between obstructive and central respiratory disorders possible. The viewing results are determined, in particular, while taking into account changes of selected breathing characteristics such as, for example, the change in the ratio of inhalation time to exhalation time.

  • Patent number: 8479738
Abstract: A forehead support device for a breathing mask includes a forehead support portion adapted to contact a forehead region of a user, a conduit element adapted to couple a respiratory gas conduit to the breathing mask, and a coupling structure provided between the forehead support portion and the conduit element and structured to support the conduit element at a predetermined spacing from the forehead support portion. The forehead support portion is displaceably engaged with the coupling structure such that the forehead portion can be selectively displaced relative to the coupling structure.

  • Patent number: 8402972
Abstract: A forehead cushion for a forehead support of a breathing mask arrangement includes a cushion element including a contact surface adapted to contact a patient's forehead and provide a distribution of contact force and a coupling element provided to the cushion element. The coupling element is adapted to couple the cushion element to the forehead support. The cushion element is movable with respect to the coupling element to achieve different contact positions on the patient's forehead.

  • Publication number: 20130000648
Abstract: A holding arrangement for a respiratory mask includes a strap portion having at least a portion providing a multi-layered construction including a rigid or semi-rigid material enclosed by a softer, patient contacting material. The rigid or semi-rigid material includes a flat plastic layer and the softer, patient contacting material includes a fabric layer provided between the flat plastic layer and the patient's skin and adapted to contact the patient's skin. Lateral edges of the multi-layered construction are fixed by stitching.

  • Patent number: 8286634
Abstract: A holding device for a respiratory mask includes a headband adapted to extend in an application position from a forehead portion of a patient around a back head portion of the patient. A strengthening element is releasably coupled to the headband to add flexural strength to the headband. The strengthening element is adapted to extend from the forehead portion laterally to respective ear portions and to descend behind the respective ear portions towards the patient's neck. The strengthening element has bracket sections positioned below respective ear portions adjacent the back head portion. A support is coupled to respective bracket sections to support the bracket sections in the back head portion.
