  • Patent number: 7204351
Abstract: The invention relates to a brake gear for a disc brake serving to transfer a force to a brake pad that acts upon a brake disc. The brake gear is accommodated in a brake caliper of the disc brake and comprises both a pressing element, which interacts with the brake caliper, as well as a rod. The pressing element is mounted in the housing of the brake caliper with the aid of the rod in such a manner that it is parallel to the rotation axis of the brake disc.

  • Publication number: 20060163011
Abstract: The present invention relates to a disc brake having a housing, a clamping device, a push rod, and a self-activating adjustment device, whereby the adjustment device includes a first subassembly and a second subassembly. According to the invention the adjustment device includes an assembling joint, which makes possible the transmission of a rotary motion from the first subassembly to the second subassembly, whereby the assembling joint allows an axial relative motion between the first subassembly and the second subassembly, whereby the assembling joint permits an axial relative motion between the first subassembly and the second subassembly of the adjustment device. According to a particular embodiment of the invention, a misalignment of the push rod inside a place, which lies parallel to the brake disc, can occur with respect to the housing, without resulting in jamming of the cylindrical element with respect to the push rod and housing.

  • Patent number: 6962244
Abstract: The present invention concerns a brake mechanism of a disc brake received in a caliper and a method for controlling the force amplification for the brake mechanism. The brake mechanism comprises a lever actuated by a brake actuator. The lever is acting on a cross bar by means of an intermediate part. The lever and the intermediate part have a line of contact moving along a circular arc during an application stroke of the brake mechanism. The cross bar of the brake mechanism is closely guided and is only moveable in the thrust direction and in the tangential direction of the brake disc. The force amplification of the brake mechanism is adapted to the force characteristics of the brake actuator.
