  • Publication number: 20240110339
Abstract: A frog (10) and to a method for producing such a frog, comprising wing rails (16, 18) each having at least one railhead (62, 64) and one rail web (66, 68), and comprising a frog point (12) arranged movably between the wing rails, wherein, in the region of the frog point, a wheel transfer zone extends between the frog point and the wing rail with which the frog point is in contact. Separately from the frog point (12), each wing rail (16, 18) has a portion (20, 22) which extends at least over the length of the wheel transfer zone and which is made from a forged block.

  • Patent number: 7056596
Abstract: A method for coating a surface of a track component with a coating containing aluminum by means of an arc spraying process. In order to form a coating that exhibits a high resistance to sliding and abrasive wear, aluminum and silicon are applied to the surface in a ratio of 3:2 ?Al:Si?4:1 by an arc spraying process.

Date of Patent: June 6, 2006
Assignees: BWG GmbH & Co. KG, Vae GmbH

  • Patent number: 6860433
Abstract: A bearing for a section of a track includes, along the track sections, profile sections which deviate from each other, especially in the form of points. A plurality of supporting points is provided with a ribbed plate, in addition to an intermediate layer made of an elasticized material disposed between the ribbed plate and an associated railway sleeper. In order to obtain identical subsidences along the sections of track, substantially each support point has an identical maximum subsidence with respect to each excavated track section.

  • Patent number: 6543728
Abstract: The invention relates to a cross frog (10) for points and crossings, comprising a cross frog tip (14) and wing rails (16, 18) and running rails (20, 22) situated either side of this point, each with a basic course (38) aligned with a main or secondary track (26, 28). The aim of the invention is to reduce the wear around the cross frog tip without reconstructing the cross frog tip itself or the guard rails allocated thereto or realigning them in relation to each other. To this end, at least one of the running rails deviates from its basic course in the area of the cross frog tip, in such a way that the movement of a rail vehicle running through the main or secondary track is influenced through its wheel frame or bogie axle, away from the cross frog tip.

  • Patent number: 6062144
Abstract: A method and device for the elastic bending of a support (16) with at least one bendable end (24), intended in particular for a flexible switch (10). To achieve an elastic line of a finite radius of curvature also at the free end of the support, a bending moment diverging from zero is generated in the elastically bendable end (24) of the support (14) by applying a force coupling to an auxiliary lever (28).
