  • Publication number: 20230322225
Abstract: A method for controlling an automated vehicle when driving into a crossing of equal-ranking roads involves the vehicle granting grants the further vehicles right of way at least for a pre-determined waiting time. The vehicle determines, according to a pre-determined arbitration rule, whether it should have priority over the further vehicles for passing through the crossing. After the waiting time has passed, the vehicle begins a crossing traversal maneuver to traverse the crossing if it is determined that it should have priority for passing through the crossing and if none of the further vehicles has driven on in the interim.

  • Publication number: 20230286523
Abstract: A method for checking the suitability of a target trajectory for trajectory control of a vehicle. The target trajectory contains route information about the path of a route to be driven and momentum information about the momentum with which the route should be driven. The target trajectory is assessed as suitable for the trajectory control if the target traction and target tractive power are below a predetermined characteristic traction curve or characteristic tractive power curve, the target steering power is below a predetermined power limit of the steering, and the horizontal target tire forces on each wheel are within the friction value limits determined by the friction value. Otherwise, the target trajectory is assessed to be unsuitable.

  • Publication number: 20230271551
Abstract: An assembly is for outputting tactile warning signals in a vehicle environment of a vehicle and includes at least one sensor for scanning the vehicle environment and for detecting sensor data, and at least one signal generator for outputting a warning signal that is tactilely and/or haptically perceptible to people in the vehicle environment. The assembly further includes a control device for receiving and evaluating the sensor data and for generating control commands for actuating the signal generator in the event of a person being detected in the vehicle environment.

  • Publication number: 20230273065
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for detecting an unsecured load in an especially automatically drivable vehicle by means of a controller, wherein measurement data in the form of lateral accelerations and/or linear accelerations of the vehicle acquired by at least one acceleration sensor are received, a time interval for detecting the unsecured load is started when the measured lateral accelerations or linear accelerations exceed a threshold value, during the time interval started measurement data acquired by at least one sensor are received and derivatives with respect of time of the received measurement data are calculated, an event is counted when the derivatives with respect of time of the measurement data exceed the one threshold value, and the presence of an unsecured load is detected when a minimum number of counted events is reached that are counted during the started time interval.

  • Publication number: 20140218525
Abstract: A method for determining a pitch of a camera installed in a vehicle includes: production of first image gradient data from a first camera image, the first image gradient data representing a brightness change of adjacent pixels of the first camera image along a vertical axis of the first camera image; production of second image gradient data from a second camera image recorded subsequent to the first camera image, the second image gradient data representing a brightness change of adjacent pixels of the second camera image along a vertical axis of the second camera image; generation of an image displacement value, which represents a displacement of a pixel of the second camera image in relation to a corresponding pixel of the first camera image; and ascertainment of a pitch based on the image displacement value.
