Abstract: A switching device with a first personal computer, having a first input device for the input of position information and a first monitor with a first display area for displaying information, and a second personal computer, having a second monitor with a second display area for displaying information, whereby the personal computers are connected by means of a first connection, the personal computers have a first program and the first program assigns the relative position of the position information designated for display to a display area and by means of a switching function redirects the input of the position information and the position information designated for display via the first connection to the personal computer connected to the assigned display area.
