  • Patent number: 10737882
Abstract: A conveyor belt including a carry cover layer, a reinforcement layer which is situated below the carry cover layer, and a pulley cover layer which is situated below the reinforcement layer, where the reinforcement layer is comprised of steel cordage and rubber matrix, and wherein the rubber matrix includes zinc oxide in an amount greater than 5 phr and a cobalt derivative in an amount of 1 phr or greater. In some cases, the rubber matrix includes zinc oxide in an amount of 11 phr or greater, or even in an amount of 16 phr or greater. In some cases, the rubber matrix includes the cobalt derivative in an amount of 2 phr or greater, or even in an amount of from 3 phr to 4 phr. In some aspects, the rubber matrix is devoid of lead oxide.

  • Publication number: 20160290545
Abstract: A heatable hollow body for transporting and/or storing liquid, gaseous and/or pasty media, having at least one heatable layer which has an electrically conductive material, is provided, wherein the heatable layer is in direct contact at least partially, preferably largely, particularly preferably fully, with the medium to be heated. In some aspects, the electrically conductive material has such a high electrical resistance that it can heat the heatable layer as a resistance conductor, and the electrically conductive material has such a low electrical resistance that the heatable layer is simultaneously electrically conductive. In some cases, the heatable layer has an elastomeric material or a plastics material in which the electrically conductive material is embedded. Also, the electrically conductive material may be conductive carbon black, a metal powder or carbon nanotubes.

  • Patent number: 8821982
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of a tire sealant (C) with a polymeric base. A highly viscous first sealant component (A) (including a natural rubber component that is undiluted or diluted with at least one additional natural rubber component and mixture ingredients that are free of a solvent and an activator) is mixed with at least one second sealant component (B) (comprising a separately produced medium with low viscosity containing at least one activator), to combine to the tire sealant (C), wherein a cross linking occurs associated with the subsequent application of the tire sealant (C) to the inside of the tire. Appropriate method steps are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8511174
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor as a built-in component of an object, especially an elastic object, the sensor comprising a polymer material containing electroconductive additives according to the invention and thereby acting as an expansion sensor (2), in that it measures the static and dynamic expansions of the object in relation to the acting forces and also monitors the changes of the polymer material generated by the static and dynamic expansions of the object over time. The invention also relates to a sensor arrangement (1) acting especially in combination with the following components: an expansion sensor (2), a fixed resistor (3), an analog/digital converter (4), a micro-controller comprising a memory (5), a radio interface (6), a controlled current/voltage source (7), an energy supply (8), a coupling coil (9), and a receiving unit (10).

  • Patent number: 8434807
Abstract: The invention relates to a single or multiple-layer plastic skin as the surface covering of coated objects. Regions are disposed in the plastic skin which are made up of a mixture of the plastic material of the plastic skin and a conducting material.

  • Patent number: 8377347
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an out of tool molded skin (1) with an embedded flat electroluminescent element, wherein an outer function or carrier layer of the electroluminescent element (5, 6, 7, 8) is made of plastic material that is substantially identical to the powdered plastic material of the molded skin and is applied to the not yet fully cured and cooled molded skin.

  • Patent number: 8110055
Abstract: A self-sealing pneumatic tire has a sealing band (3) applied adheringly in the circumferential direction on the inner side of the tire and radially within the tread. A sealant (2) is applied to a carrier material (1). The carrier material (1) of the sealing band (3) is a foil on which the sealant (2) has been applied. The sealant, because of its intrinsic stickiness, adheres both to the carrier material (1) and to the inner side of the tire.
