  • Patent number: 10369672
Abstract: An electric power device may include a casing, a motor disposed within the casing, a control unit, and an air channel. The motor may be configured to operate a working implement of the device and may include a motor housing having at least one outlet through which air cooling the motor exits the motor housing. The air channel may be configured to enclose the at least one outlet of the motor housing. The air channel may provide a passage for the air drawn from outside the casing and through the motor housing out of the casing via an exhaust outlet disposed in the casing at an end of the air channel.

  • Patent number: 8844477
Abstract: A hand-held work apparatus includes an engine housing (200). An internal combustion engine (202) is arranged in the engine housing (200) and includes a cylinder (204) and a crankshaft. A fan wheel (214) is driven directly or indirectly by the crank shaft, such that the fan wheel (214) rotates about an axis A. A fan housing (216) surrounds and cooperates with the fan wheel (214). A combustion air inlet (224) is located radially outside of the fan wheel (214) for leading air to the internal combustion engine (202). Further, the combustion air inlet (224) includes a combustion air inlet port (226) and a combustion air duct (228). The combustion air inlet port (226) is provided with a first edge (230), which first edge (230) is located radially adjacent to the periphery (220) of the fan wheel (214).

  • Publication number: 20110240590
Abstract: The present invention relates to a closure arrangement on a tank (1) of a hand-held working tool driven by a power unit, said tank containing an operating fluid of the hand-held working tool. The closure arrangement comprises a filler neck (10), defining an opening (2) in the tank (1) for filling of operating fluid, and a closure cap (20), for closing of the opening (2). The closure cap (20) is arranged to be brought from an opened position, wherein the closure cap (20) is separated from the filler neck (10), towards a closed position, wherein the closure cap (20) is tightened to the filler neck (10). The filler neck (10) has a first closure element (12) and the closure cap (20) has a second closure element (22), which first closure element (12) and second closure element (22) are arranged to interact with each other, in such a way that the user receives an indication when the closure cap (20) reaches the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7634980
Abstract: A crankcase scavenged two-stroke internal combustion engine (1) having an additional air supply (2) arranged to its transfer ducts (3), connecting a crankcase volume (4) and a transfer port (5). There is at least one recess (6, 24) in a piston (7) arranged below a piston ring (10, 11), and further there is a flow channel (12; 13; 14) arranged in the piston or in a cylinder wall (29) of the engine cylinder (9), and the recess is arranged to register with the transfer port and the flow channel for certain first piston positions, i.e. to create a communication between the transfer port/s and the crankcase volume.
