Publication number: 20250088498Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include techniques for securely connecting computer systems. In one embodiment, the system allows many users to connect with many different secure computer systems having many different connection types. A user selects an entity and is presented with connection types for the selected entity for the entities target systems. The user selects a connection type and corresponding target, and a tunnel proxy server is configured to connect the user to the selected target. In some embodiments, the connection type is associated with other information. In one embodiment, an application associated with the connection type is automatically launched.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 8, 2023Publication date: March 13, 2025Inventors: Veronika Faulhaber, Norbert Ottahal, Ralf-Dietmar Dittman, Timo Ellenberger, Mathis Wieder, Stefan Sturm, Yves Lorat, Guilherme Limongi de Oliveira, Christopher Black

Patent number: 11570269Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing third party connectivity to installed software at a customer site through a broker infrastructure. A uniform facility for powerful and secure third party access to customer software installations is provided. Multiple TCP-based session types including source code debug and database sessions are supported. A target backend and session type are selected by an authorized agent logged into the broker infrastructure. A communication session is established between environments of the agent's frontend tool and the backend. The agent can perform maintenance or troubleshooting on the backend using the full capabilities of the frontend tool. Data exchange between frontend and backend utilizes TCP connections within the communication session, and is mediated by a connectivity framework within the broker infrastructure. Customer control over access to target backends is supported.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2020Date of Patent: January 31, 2023Assignee: SAP SEInventors: Ralf-Dietmar Dittmann, Mathis Wieder, Yves Lorat, Norbert Ottahal, Stefan Sturm, Tim Buchholz, Timo Ellenberger, Christopher Black

Publication number: 20170036347Abstract: A method for controlling a robotic manipulator includes manually controlling the robotic manipulator with an operating device connected to a control device of the manipulator and having a first safety level, and monitoring an admissible state of operation with a protective device connected to the control device and having a second, higher safety level, The manipulator performs an operation commanded by the operating device only if the protective device is communicating an admissible state to the control device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2016Publication date: February 9, 2017Inventors: Uwe Bonin, Stefan Sturm

Publication number: 20110052366Abstract: A method according to the invention for controlling a manipulator, in particular a robot (1), includes the following steps: controlling of the manipulator by means of an operating device (4) of a first safety level, which is connected to a control device (2) of the manipulator, and monitoring of a permissible state by means of a protective device (3, 3.1, 3.2) of a second, higher safety level, which is connected to the control device of the manipulator, wherein the manipulator executes an action prescribed by the operating device only as long as the protective device is communicating a permissible state to the control device.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2010Publication date: March 3, 2011Applicant: KUKA ROBOTER GMBHInventors: Uwe Bonin, Stefan Sturm

Patent number: 6969094Abstract: A tube coupling for the detachable coupling of tube line sections of a high-pressure tubing system. The tube coupling includes two coupling blocks held together by a clamping screw, whereby one of the coupling blocks has a coupling plug that engages a plug socket provided on the other coupling block. A sealing ring is formed of a plastically deformable material and is enclosed between a front face of the coupling plug and a bottom-side sealing surface of the plug socket. In order to protect the sealing ring from being lost, damages and/or contaminated during assembly or opening and dosing the coupling, in a preassembled condition it is enclosed within a protective socket. To homogeneously load the sealing ring, the sealing ring is located at one point of a supporting triangle, the two other supporting points of being formed by a pair of supporting surfaces arranged side by side at an outer end of side flanges of the coupling blocks.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2003Date of Patent: November 29, 2005Assignee: Visteon Global Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Jörn Fröhling, Stefan Sturm, Frank Obrist, Peter Kuhn, Stefan Kröss

Patent number: 6356806Abstract: A method for handling the voltage drop, at least in the control unit of a robot with a PC control is provided that minimizes the time of a plant stoppage and avoids wasteful process interruptions. The PC control has a real time operating system for the time critical control and regulation of the robot movement and a standard PC operating system for communication with an operator. In the case of a voltage drop a battery/accumulator operation takes place with running robot movement and optionally application operations broken off or ended in a clearly defined manner. Then, working processes of the control are terminated. The contents of the working memory at the termination time concerning the real time operating system and robot control programs are stored, particularly as an image, in at least one mass memory. For restarting the robot after such a stoppage thereof the standard PC operating system is loaded in the conventional manner into the working memory and started.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1999Date of Patent: March 12, 2002Assignee: Kuka Roboter GmbHInventors: Franz Grob, Stefan Sturm, Carsten Spie&bgr;
