  • Publication number: 20030222480
Abstract: A device for guiding an airflow in a region of a roof opening in a motor vehicle roof comprises a wind deflector and at least one additional deflector. This additional deflector has a rear end face and is movably fastened to the wind deflector and adapted to protrude vertically upwards with respect to a rear edge of the wind deflector. The wind deflector and the additional deflector are each movable from a normal, unextended position into an extended position. The additional deflector is fastened to an underside of the wind deflector when in its normal position and moves along the rear end face of the wind deflector when moving into the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20030184684
Abstract: In a television receiver, for a linear picture representation in the horizontal direction, the sawtooth-waveform line deflection current is flattened in the sense of S correction by a so-called S capacitor at the beginning and at the end of the line trace period. In the event of a change of the picture aspect ratio, for example for reproduction of a picture with 4:3 on a screen with 16:9 and the greatest possible filling of the screen in the horizontal direction, it is desirable for this S correction to be reduced or completely switched off in order that stretching deliberately occurs at the left-hand and right-hand edges of the picture. The value of the S capacitor would have to be increased for this purpose. Enlarging the S capacitor by supplementarily connecting a further capacitor is difficult to realize owing to the high values of these capacitors.

  • Publication number: 20010032071
Abstract: A portable data recording and/or data playback device, according to the first design example, includes a headband (1) which contains all functional parts such as a speaker (2), microphone (6), power supply (4), recording/playback unit (3, 5) and operating elements (8). The portable data recording and/or data playback device may be equipped with a speech recognition function (5, 6, 14) so that the cumbersome manual operation of the device is eliminated. The overall operational comfort for the user will thus be significantly improved.

  • Patent number: 6032131
Abstract: An automated system and method are provided for accurately modeling spending. In the system and method, invoice information and payment information are received at an interface. A processor, coupled to the interface, automatically generates a distribution in response to the invoice information and the payment information. The generated distribution is automatically transformed by the processor. Spend information for a specified period of time is received at the interface; the spend information specifies a spending amount. The processor automatically spreads the spending amount over the transformed distribution.
