  • Patent number: 12263702
Abstract: The present invention provides for a heavy truck tire tread having a shoulder edge, shoulder groove, and shoulder rib therebetween. A plurality of sipes are in the shoulder rib and are oriented less than 20 degrees to the lateral direction. The sipes are spaced from one another between 5 to 18 millimeters in the longitudinal direction. Additionally or alternatively, the sipes are arranged so that a reference plane extends through a sipe bottom point and a sipe top point at the average sipe line. A sipe inclination line extends from the sipe bottom point to the sipe top point, and a reference line extends through the sipe bottom point. A sipe inclination angle is defined by the reference line and the sipe inclination line and is greater than 0 degrees.

  • Publication number: 20250065673
Abstract: A heavy truck tire tread is provided that has an outer surface and a circumferential groove (24) that extends in the circumferential direction completely around the tread. A rib (26) is present that has a rib element (28) that defines a portion of the circumferential groove (24) and has an upper surface (30) in the radial direction. The upper surface has a leading edge (32) and a tailing edge (34) in the circumferential direction. The leading edge (32) and the tailing edge (34) are at different distances to the central axis in the radial direction. A first micro sipe (40) extends into the rib and opens into the circumferential groove (24), and a second micro sipe (42) extends into the rib (26) and opens into the circumferential groove (24). The rib element (28) extends from the first micro sipe (40)) to the second micro sipe (42) in the circumferential direction.

  • Patent number: 12233668
Abstract: A heavy truck tire tread is provided that has a rolling direction that is in a longitudinal direction of the tread. A circumferential sipe (20) is present and extends in the longitudinal direction completely around the tread. The circumferential sipe does not bound a sacrificial rib. A plurality of micro sipes (22) engage the circumferential sipe and are located on opposite sides of the circumferential sipe in the lateral direction. The micro sipes extend from the circumferential sipe so as to terminate within rubber of the tread at a terminal end.

  • Publication number: 20250058590
Abstract: A tread for a heavy truck tire is provided that has a shoulder rib (22) with a shoulder rib upper surface (24), and a sacrificial rib (26) with a sacrificial rib upper surface (28). The sacrificial rib (26) is located outboard from the shoulder rib (22) in the lateral direction and engages the shoulder rib (22) such that an interface is present at engagement of the sacrificial rib and the shoulder rib. The sacrificial rib upper surface (28) is located closer to the central axis in the radial direction than the shoulder rib upper surface (24) is located to the central axis in the radial direction. A plurality of decoupling sipes (32) in the shoulder rib (22) extend through the interface and into the sacrificial rib (26). The decoupling sipes (32) are spaced from one another in the circumferential direction such that immediately successive ones of the decoupling sipes (32) are not in engagement at the interface.

Abstract: A tread for a heavy truck tire is provided that has a bottom surface (14), a shoulder rib (16), and a sacrificial rib (20) located outboard from the shoulder rib (16) in a width direction. A decoupling void (30) is located between the shoulder rib (16) and the sacrificial rib (20). First decoupling void sipes (32), second decoupling void sipes (100) and third decoupling void sipes (104) are in the shoulder rib (16), and one second decoupling void sipe (100) is between one first decoupling void sipe (32) and one third decoupling void sipe (104). The first and third decoupling void sipes (32, 104) are closer to the bottom surface (14) than is the decoupling void (30) in the thickness direction. The second decoupling void sipe (100) is not closer to the bottom surface (14) than is the decoupling void (30) to the bottom surface (14) in the thickness direction.

  • Patent number: 12001292
Abstract: A system to manage database management system backup objects may include an external storage component storing a first database management system backup object. A database management system node (e.g., associated with a database as a service cluster of a hyper-scalar infrastructure) may be configured to write information to and read information from the external storage component without being able to delete information in the external storage component. A backup housekeeping component, independent of the database management system node, may trigger a request to retrieve backup requirement information (e.g., associated with a maximum backup age, a latest backup identifier, an indication of a newest backup to be deleted, etc.) from the database management system node.

  • Publication number: 20230084725
Abstract: The present invention provides for a heavy truck tire tread (12) with a plurality of sipes (20) in the shoulder rib (18) that extend from the shoulder edge (14) to the shoulder groove (16). Each one of the sipes (20) has a bottom (28) with a teardrop (30) located at the bottom, and the bottom (28) does not extend the same depth in the thickness direction across the entire lateral length of the sipe (20). The bottom (28) at a middle of the sipe (20) extends for less of a depth in the thickness direction than does the bottom (28) at a shoulder edge (14) portion of the sipe (20) located outboard from the middle of the sipe (20) in the lateral direction. The bottom (28) at the middle of the sipe (20) extends for less of a depth in the thickness direction than does the bottom (28) at a shoulder groove (16) portion of the sipe (20) located inboard from the middle of the sipe (20) in the lateral direction.

  • Patent number: 11537476
Abstract: According to some embodiments, a system to manage database management system backups may include a plurality of database services. For each database service, a database backup resource (e.g., a human-readable structured document) may specify desired backup state information (e.g., a buffer size, a schedule, an amount of memory, etc.). A stateless backup operator component may then compare a present backup state of each database service with the associated desired backup state information. When a mismatch is identified between the present backup state of a database service and the associated desired backup state information, that database service may be automatically reconfigured (e.g., in connection with a recover job, backup job, backup configuration job, keystore backup job, etc.) in accordance with the desired backup state information.

  • Patent number: 11531596
Abstract: A system and method to receive, by a backup service layer of a database service instance, a request to create a data backup; create, in response to the request and internally of the backup service, a backup having a filename including a version identifier; and transmit the created backup to a hyperscaler to be stored in a cloud object storage of the hyperscaler, the filename of the backup being a key for the storage of the backup in the cloud object storage.

  • Patent number: 11371489
Abstract: A tower for a wind turbine is disclosed, said wind turbine comprises the tower, a nacelle and a rotor having at least one rotor blade. The tower is configured for supporting the nacelle and the rotor on a support system. The tower itself may be structured as having an upper top end for supporting the nacelle and a lower support end for being placed on the support system. Electric energy generated is transported via power cables from the nacelle to an electric grid, preferably via power electronic components, switches and/or transformers. Furthermore, the nacelle may rotate around the yaw axis according to the current wind direction. Hence, the rotation of the nacelle introduces a twist into the power cables, wherein said twist causes a deviation (shortening) in the length of the power cables. Furthermore, the tower comprises at least one radial cable guiding device for receiving the cable and a cable support arrangement for supporting the cable in a beneficial manner.
