  • Publication number: 20230414295
Abstract: An installation tool for installing a tracking member on a substrate is provided that includes a body with at least one guide hole located at a first end of the body for guiding a fixation element into the substrate. A holding mechanism is provided for holding the body to the fixation element. A coupler located at an opposing end of the body is provided for coupling the tracking member to the body. A removable handle has an opening for receiving at least portion of the coupler inside the removable handle. A system is also provide that includes the installation tool and a tracking member.

  • Patent number: 11457984
Abstract: A knee resurfacing process has the steps of fixing a bone in a position, creating an incision in a knee so as to expose a surface of the knee, guiding a probe of a robot arm around the perimeter of a search zone on the surface of the knee, probing the probe of the robot arm onto the knee so as to define a plurality of points within the perimeter, collecting point cloud data from the plurality of points so as to form an image of the probed surface, and shaping the knee relative to the collected point cloud data. The step of guiding is hand guiding the probe so that the probe penetrates tissues at a bony surface of the knee and contacts the bone of the knee. A force of the contact of the probe with the bone of the knee is measured.

  • Publication number: 20130197527
Abstract: Systems, methods and device for tibial resection comprise a first cutting guide and a second cutting guide. The first cutting guide (12) is configured to overlay a portion of the tibia and to direct a cutting instrument in a plane. The first cutting guide has a length extending from a generally medial portion of the tibia to a generally lateral portion of the tibia. The first cutting guide has a depth extending in a posterior direction generally perpendicular to the length and a groove extending along the length and depth of the first cutting guide such that the groove extends along a generally transverse plane. The second cutting guide (34) is oriented at an angle to the first cutting guide and configured to extend generally in a posterior direction from the first cutting guide (12). The second cutting guide limits the cutting instrument in the transverse plane from cutting bone.
