  • Publication number: 20110080034
Abstract: In a method for milling an opencast mining surface or for milling off layers of an asphalt or concrete traffic surface with a milling machine removing the ground surface, by milling the ground surface along a predetermined milling track having a predetermined length, by transporting the milled material via a conveying device to at least one container of a truck that travels along next to the milling machine, said truck having a predetermined maximum loading volume per load, and by replacing a fully loaded truck with an unloaded truck when the maximum loading volume of a truck load has been reached, it is provided for the following features to be achieved: calculation of the maximum total loading volume resulting over the length of the current milling track as a function of the current effective working width and a milling depth that has been optimized in relation to a predetermined, preferably maximum milling power, calculation of the number of truck loads required for the maximum total loading volume of a mi

  • Publication number: 20110016974
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting damage to a machine that is excited at a previously known frequency by a vibration exciter, including an acceleration sensor for recording a current amplitude spectrum of an upper mass. A previously known amplitude spectrum of the upper mass is stored in a memory device. The current amplitude spectrum is compared with the previously known amplitude spectrum in a comparison device. If the comparison device determines that the spectra differ from one another, a corresponding deviation signal is generated and is output via a display device for informing the operator in order to inform the latter of possible damage.

  • Publication number: 20100139424
Abstract: A vibrator for a ground compaction apparatus includes two parallel shafts which are coupled to one another be rotatable in opposite directions and on each of which is at least one unbalanced mass is disposed. A phase adjusting mechanism is used for modifying the phase angle of the two unbalanced masses relative to each other. In order to do so, the actual phase angle of the two unbalanced masses is detected with the help of proximity sensors or the like. A regulating device compares the actual phase angle with a desired phase angle that is predefined by the operator and controls the phase adjusting mechanism in such a way that the difference between the actual phase angle and the desired phase angle is minimal.

  • Patent number: 7655342
Abstract: The invention relates to a proton-conducting polymer membrane and to a method for the production thereof. Starting from a catalyst layer, which is homogeneously deposited on the polymer membrane (3), the catalyst layer is subdivided into a number of catalyst segments (1a, 1b) by microstructuring so that adjacent fuel cell units of a planar fuel cell arrangement can be realized in the smallest possible space.

  • Publication number: 20090166050
Abstract: A soil compaction device has a vibrated contact element that makes contact with the soil during a contact phase and that is exposed to a contact force exerted by the soil and travels over a contact distance. A dynamic stiffness of the soil is formed from the gradient of the contact force and from the contact distance. Furthermore, a contact surface parameter to take account of the actual contact surface of the contact element with the soil is determined. The dynamic deformation modulus is then the product of the contact surface parameter and the dynamic stiffness. The method allows the determination of the dynamic deformation modulus, and hence of the soil stiffness, during the compaction operation.
