The connector plug in turn may secure the detent elements in a locked position, so that the connector housing cannot become detached from the connector socket as long as the connector plug remains in the socket. A locking ring can secure the connector plug in the connector housing. The locking ring can, if necessary or desired, be located and configured in such a way that it can be moved into a release position with a tool.

The orientation of the connection piece (7) in relation to the sealing surface (15) is determined only by the surface contact between the connection piece (7) and the sealing surface (15) (with or without a sealing element interposed). A pivotably mounted clamping lever (21) adjacent to the sealing site applies the required axial force, a tensioning device (32) acting on the longer lever arm thereof. One such connection device is especially easy to produce and to assemble, and is particularly reliable, leakproof and easy to mount.
