  • Patent number: 7729406
Abstract: Detection of a process state change includes, in each of a number of filters having differing time constants, generating an estimated average process state from observed samples of the process. A number of state change decisions are generated by comparing each of the number of estimated process states with a respective one of a number of threshold values. It is then decided that the process has changed state if any one or more of the state change decisions indicates that the process has changed state.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 19, 2004
Date of Patent: June 1, 2010
    Assignee: Ericsson Technology Licensing AB
    Inventor: Stefan Zürbes
  • Patent number: 7142593
Abstract: An evaluation of the interference situation of a transmission system is performed. If valid payload data is received, a counter for valid receptions is incremented and a signal power at which the payload data was received is stored. If invalid payload data is received, a counter for invalid receptions is incremented. If no payload data has to be received, the signal power is measured in order to consider the signal power as interference power. The ratio of the signal power measured during a valid reception and as the interference power is calculated as a fictive signal-to-interference power ratio.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: November 28, 2006

  • Patent number: 5940774
Abstract: A control system for the radio coverage of a cellular digital mobile communication system by a process for the lighting of radio cells, in which the mobile station (MS) is supplied with the same signal from several base stations (BS) from the edge of the cell in the mutual broadcasting system via directional aerials. One cell controller (CC) is provided for the compound optimization of the cell parameters which contains the new functions for signal processing and the control of the radio devices determined by the radio cell lighting process used.
