The device supports at least one reel of extensible film, including at least one storage memory of a plurality of wrapping programs of a palletized load, each characterised by different operating parameters to carry out the wrapping operation, and detects at least one parameter representative of the quality of the film on the reel and measures instant by instant, the present diameter of the reel.
