  • Publication number: 20230111024
Abstract: A human-machine-interface formed as a landing operation panel or a landing information panel for an elevator installation has: an interaction unit (3) that responds to actuation by a passenger to generate input signals and/or to output output signals to be perceived by the passenger; a communication unit that transmits the input signals to an elevator and/or receives the output signals from the elevator controller; and a supply unit that supplies electrical energy to the interaction unit and the communication unit, the supply unit having an energy conversion unit and an electricity storage unit, wherein the energy conversion unit converts kinetic energy available in the immediate surroundings of the human-machine-interface into electrical energy, and wherein the electricity storage unit stores the converted electrical energy. The human-machine-interface operates with energy autonomy, i.e. without a supply cable to a central power supply.

  • Publication number: 20220207204
Abstract: A method for visualizing replacement parts, e.g. for a passenger transport system, including the steps: displaying a list of possible replacement parts on a screen of a mobile device and prompting for selection of a specific replacement part; downloading 3D data of the selected replacement part from an external server via a network, the 3D data containing spatial information regarding visually discernable properties of the selected replacement part; displaying a perspective view of the selected replacement part with the visually discernable properties on the screen from an initial viewing angle; determining a change in an orientation of the mobile device in an altered orientation; and displaying a perspective view of the selected replacement part with the visually discernable properties from an altered viewing angle corresponding to the altered orientation thereby assisting a maintenance engineer to easily and intuitively inspect and reliably choose a replacement part for a defective component.

  • Publication number: 20220036875
Abstract: A method and a device for outputting an audible voice message in an elevator system includes at least the following steps: transmitting the content of the voice message as a text file to be output via the Internet to a web-based text-to-speech service provider; receiving an audio file from the service provider via the Internet, the audio file having been created based upon the transmitted text file to be output; and outputting the audio file in the elevator system as the audible voice message. If necessary, the text file to be output can be obtained by translating a source language text file into a target language beforehand with the aid of a translation service provider. The targeted use of online service providers allows the outlay needed to realize voice announcements in an elevator system at different use locations with different languages to be greatly reduced.

  • Publication number: 20210163258
Abstract: An elevator control cabinet used in an elevator system includes a voice communication apparatus having a microphone, an electronic control arrangement, an evaluation unit, and a cabinet housing having at least one cabinet door. The voice communication apparatus is used to execute a service or emergency call or establish a communication between the elevator and a public communication network. The microphone detects a surrounding noise in the control cabinet. The evaluation unit converts the detected noise into a noise pattern and then compares this noise pattern with a reference sound pattern that is predetermined for a surrounding noise in the cabinet housing with the open or closed cabinet door. This reference sound pattern is saved in a storage unit of the control arrangement. In dependence on a result of the comparison, the evaluation unit will recognize whether the cabinet door is open or closed.

  • Publication number: 20200062539
Abstract: A method for controlling an elevator system comprises receiving media data, receiving at least one of control data and sensor data, transmitting the media data and at least one of the control data and sensor data via a real-time data communication network between a central controller adapted for controlling a drive of the elevator system and a local controller, the local controller being provided in one of an elevator car control panel and a door control panel, wherein the real-time data communication network is adapted for transmitting data packets while ensuring that a data packet is transmitted during a maximal transmission time.

  • Publication number: 20180134516
Abstract: An elevator monitoring device has a safety chain, an I/O device, and an interface device. It is to be possible for safety signals from the safety chain to be relayed to the I/O device and passed on therefrom, for example, to an external control device. In order to prevent transmission of, for example, dangerously high electrical voltages coming from the safety chain, the interface device is connected between the safety chain and the I/O device. The interface unit contains a signal transmission device that is designed to relay galvanically decoupled signals from inputs to outputs. This makes it possible for safety signals to be read out from the safety chain with the highest possible degree of safety while avoiding electrical overvoltages, and for the signals to be provided to the control device.

  • Patent number: 9067760
Abstract: A method for communication between an elevator system and a remote control center includes establishing a communication connection in a communication network. A first signal of the elevator system is received by a communication device of the elevator system through a signal network, and a second signal is transmitted by the communication device in the communication network to a computing apparatus of the remote control center. The communication connection is permanently maintained.
