  • Publication number: 20190069017
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for determining which of two multimedia devices to use to process a multimedia signal. A user may select a multimedia program from an interactive program guide. The first device will determine whether the multimedia specifications of the selected program exceed the capabilities of the first device. If so, the first device will transmit the multimedia signal to the second device without attempting to process it, and instruct the second device to process the signal and output the data obtained therefrom. If not, the first device will process the signal and transmit the multimedia data obtained from the signal to the second device for output.

  • Patent number: 10057647
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for determining which of two multimedia devices to use when launching an Internet multimedia application. A user may interact directly with a first device and select an application from the first device. The first device will determine whether the selected application is present on a second device and whether the capabilities of the second device make it a better choice for launching the selected application. If the first device is chosen, multimedia data is transmitted from the first device though the second device to a display. If the second device is chosen, the first device sends a command to the second device to launch the selected application and multimedia data is sent from the second device to a display.

  • Publication number: 20150032945
Abstract: Compression and the caching of decompressed code in RAM is described by using an uncompressed paged instruction caching fault method to keep all of code compressed in a FLASH memory. The method only decompresses and caches in DRAM memory the portion of code that is miming at a certain instance in time (i.e., DRAM window), which maintains a pre-fetched portion of code based on static windowing FLASH.

  • Patent number: 6134554
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a section map may be used which utilizes a series of section maps, each section map including a predetermined number of bits, such as 32 bits. Each section map may include a single bit which indicates what is stored in the first 15 bits. For example, the last 16 bits of a section map may indicate whether the first 16 sections have been received. Another bit may be used to indicate what is stored in the first 15 bits. For example, the first 15 bits may indicate whether the next 15 sections have been received, or they may indicate an index pointing to the next section map.
