Abstract: A device for holding and moving lithium battery cells, in particular during a forming step, including a supporting base with a plurality of bays for the cells, a holding member which can be bound to the supporting base above the bays and an expansion circuit configured to receive, in use, gaseous substances emitted from access ports of the cells when the holding member is in the working configuration. The expansion circuit includes a connecting inlet at each bay, configured to couple gas-tight to the access port of the cell located in the bay. The expansion circuit also includes one or more expansion chambers and each connecting inlet is fluidly connected with at least one of the expansion chambers.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for shearing a metallic belt from which electrodes of electric accumulators are formed. The apparatus includes a cutting device able to shear a metallic belt advancing along a sliding path, a first slider positioned upstream of the cutting device and a second slider positioned downstream of the cutting device. A handling system drives the first slider and the second slider cyclically with corresponding outward and return strokes, in order to change the length of the sliding path in such a way as to stop cyclically successive portions of the metallic belt at the cutting device, maintaining constant the advancement velocity of the metallic belt upstream and downstream of the cutting device.

Abstract: Machine for obtaining cells for electric storage batteries, comprising an apparatus for feeding two continuous strips of dielectric material, a first and a second apparatus for distributing first electrodes of the same polarity and a third apparatus for distributing between the two strips second electrodes with opposite polarity with respect to the first electrodes. The machine further includes a folding head which receives, from the feeding apparatus, the two strips with the second electrode interposed, and is movable between a first position in which it receives a first electrode from the first distribution apparatus, and a second position (B), in which it receives a first electrode from the second distribution apparatus, in order to form a stack of composite layers alternated with the electrodes.

The feeding apparatus (3) is adapted to release, to the folding head (6), the pair (13) of strips (4) with the second electrodes (12) interposed.

Abstract: A line for assembling accumulator batteries comprises movement means forming a feed path for the batteries, and a plurality of operating stations mounted along the feed path, each designed to perform at least one operation on the batteries. The movement means are prepared in such a way that they keep the batteries grouped in groups each comprising a plurality of batteries drawn near to one another along a respective main side, and can be activated to move each group in sequence through the stations. There is also an assembly method comprising a first operating step in which a plurality of batteries to be assembled are picked up, being placed side by side along the main side to form a group of batteries to be assembled. Moreover, at least some of the successive assembly operating steps are performed simultaneously on all of the batteries in the group.
