  • Publication number: 20230294794
Abstract: A bicycle control device includes a body, at least one button on the body, an antenna for connection via radio to a component of the bicycle, and an electronic unit mounted in the body and connected to the button and to the antenna. The control device also includes an insert made of electrically insulating material, with a resistivity greater than 107 ?m, on the body, the antenna being on the insert. The arrangement of the antenna on the insert of such an insulating material reduces or eliminates disturbances during the transmission from the antenna to the component, independently of the material of the body.

  • Publication number: 20230037259
Abstract: A hydraulic disc braking system is disclosed. The system has a manually operated control device for a cyclist to issue a braking command. The system has a master cylinder assembly having a membrane dividing the hydraulic fluid tank into a variable volume filled chamber and a complementarily variable volume empty chamber. A membrane detector senses the presence of the membrane relative to a predetermined position in the tank and/or a meter measures the distance of the membrane from the ceiling of tank.

  • Publication number: 20230032763
Abstract: A bicycle electronic controller has a support body that attaches to the bicycle's handlebar. A plurality of electric-electronic devices are housed within the support body on printed circuit boards (PCBs). Two of the PCBs are parallel to each other, and spaced from each other, and electrically connected to each other.

  • Publication number: 20230033073
Abstract: A bicycle wireless control device has a support body that attaches to a bicycle. The support body houses a plurality of electric-electronic devices including a wireless communication module on a printed circuit board (PCB). A coaxial cable extends from the PCB to an outer surface of the support body and functions as an antenna.

  • Publication number: 20230036646
Abstract: A diagnostic method for a bicycle hydraulic disc braking system, having a master cylinder assembly with a cylinder inside which a piston reciprocates against the action of a return spring. The master cylinder has a hydraulic tank with a bottom, a ceiling, and a membrane that divides the hydraulic tank into two chambers. The hydraulic tank is connected to the cylinder through the bottom. A metering device measures the distance between the membrane and the ceiling of the tank. The output signal of the metering device is evaluated to determine that operation is correct when the membrane temporarily approaches the ceiling by a predetermined extent range, or incorrect otherwise. A positive evaluation reflects the correct operating condition, and a negative evaluation reflects an incorrect operating condition.
