  • Publication number: 20240151249
Abstract: A pneumatic stepper motor includes a housing, said housing accommodating at least part of: a rack or geared axle comprising a plurality of gear elements; and two pistons, each comprising at least two teeth, said pistons being arranged to cooperate with said rack or geared axle. The racks may either be straight or curved. The pistons are preferably double-acting pistons. A device includes at least one, and preferably a plurality of, such pneumatic stepper motor(s). The device may in particular be an MRI-compatible robotic system, more in particular for example an MRI-guided breast biopsy device.

  • Publication number: 20240033998
Abstract: A system for additive manufacturing of a product from an electrically conductive depositable material. The system comprises a support element, a material addition system, and two electrodes. The support element supports the product, wherein the two electrodes comprise electrodes configured at a surface of the support element. The material addition system deposits the material at one or more of (i) the support element and (ii) deposited material, thereby forming the product. Any one of the electrodes is configured for (i) electrically contacting the material being deposited or (ii) electrically contacting the deposited material, during depositing of the material. (i) the material is deposited with a portion of the deposited material and arranged between the electrode and another one of the electrodes to define an electrically conductive path. Alternatively, (ii) a portion of the deposited material is arranged between the electrode and another one of the electrodes to define the electrically conductive path.

  • Publication number: 20230343241
Abstract: Disclosed is a device for simulating the movement of an endoscope in an environment, including: a tube modelling an endoscope tube; and a tracking module including a housing into which the tube is insertable and movable. The tracking module includes a detector of movements of the tube in the housing and a unit for communicating the detected movements to a controller. The controller is configured to generate, at each instant, an image of a portion of an environment based on the movements of the tube detected by the detector so as to simulate the movement of an endoscope in the environment. The tracking module includes a fastener adapted to fasten the tracking module in a releasable manner onto a support.
