    Abstract: To assist in the standardization of communication protocols and individual register models of various hearing devices, the register in the DSP/ASIC of a hearing device has a standardized interface in the DSP/ASIC. An application-specific, universal, generic command set that is transferred via the communication interface can be used therewith. Thus command set can be standardized over hearing device families, IC generations and across manufacturers, such that a universal software for adaptation of hearing devices can be achieved.
