    Abstract: A method for identifying the sensor assignment to the output signals of an electrical machine having at least two standardized sensor elements, that are assigned to a rotating body. An arbitrary signal sequence of sensor signals of the at least two standardized sensor elements is recorded for a first direction of rotation of the electrical machine. The arbitrary signal sequence is sorted with respect to the electrical angle ? of the electrical machine corresponding to an offset of the electrical angle ? per sensor signal. The zero crossings of phases of the electrical machine are assigned to the sensor signals.
