  • Patent number: 11496228
Abstract: A beamformer for providing signals from a device under test (DUT) and an emulator is disclosed. The beamformer includes: a radio frequency (RF) interface configured to receive a plurality of radio beams and convert a data stream comprising a plurality of radio beams from analog signals to digital signals; a radio samples processor configured to receive the digital signals, decouple data samples from the plurality of radio beams, and recombine the data samples to provide a single data stream to a corresponding single device used by an end-user; and a local processor adapted to dynamically adjust operational parameters in the radio samples processor of the single data stream.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20210250071
Abstract: A method for 5G digital beamforming testing includes receiving emulated UE spatial positions. The method includes computing phase vectors for the emulated UEs based on the emulated UE spatial positions and communicating the phase vectors to a DUT. The method includes receiving beam weight sets from the DUT and storing the beam weight sets. The method includes computing scores for the emulated UE spatial positions from the beam weight sets and the phase vectors, and receiving, from the DUT, spatial streams and identifiers of beam weight sets to be used to transmit the spatial streams to the emulated UEs. The method includes identifying, using scores corresponding to the beam weight sets to be used to transmit the spatial streams to the emulated UEs, associations between the spatial streams and the emulated UE spatial positions. The method includes processing data in the spatial streams using the emulated UEs.

  • Patent number: 9686702
Abstract: A device receives fading channel conditions to utilize for simulating behavior of multiple mobile devices in a mobile network, and at least one of the fading channel conditions for at least one of the multiple mobile devices is different than at least another one of the fading channel conditions for at least another one of the multiple mobile devices. The device generates channel realizations based on the fading channel conditions, and the channel realizations include time-discrete and frequency-discrete random channel coefficients. The device generates a test channel based on the generated channel realizations, and provides the test channel to a receiver device of the mobile network. The test channel causes the receiver device to perform functions associated with processing an actual channel.

  • Patent number: 5646874
Abstract: A method and a computing device for the multiplication/multiplication-accumulation of signed numbers, respectively of N bits and N-1 bits, generated a subword of N bits selectable from the result of 2N-1 bits using a multiplier/multiplier-accumulator incorporating a register file connected to an arithmetic and logic unit by a first bus and a second bus via a barrel shifter. The output of the arithmetic and logic unit is connected to the register by a third bus. A Booth Finite State Machine (FSM) is connected to the first bus. A partial product is realigned with respect to an operand A and an Arithmetical Shift Right (ASR) according to the following relation: product=ASR (product, align).+-.operand.sub.-- A. The cycles of a second type ar repeated until the partial product has been shifted by a number of bits corresponding to the desired subword position. Cycles of a first type are performed, such as to obtain, with respect to a Logical Shift Left (LSL), the relation: product=product.+-.LSL (operand.sub.
