Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for examination of images having an image storage device which is designed to store image data for images to be evaluated, a display device which is designed to display the image data, an input device for a subject that is designed to interrogate visualization data, a control device which connects the abovementioned devices to one another, a data matching device for matching image data and visualization data, and an evaluation device for calculation of a visualization profile, with the visualization data comprising position data which is transmitted from the input device. The input device may have a pointing appliance designed such that it is moved manually by the subject for pointing, and the input device interacting interactively with the marking such that the position of the pointing appliance is displayed by means of the marking on the display device. This allows simple and fast recording of the areas which are particularly observed by subjects.
