  • Publication number: 20050263918
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the manufacturing of a filter element having a porous body, said body comprising a bottom and a top portion, wherein said bottom and top portions define a cavity structure in between them, the cavity structure comprising an outlet for discharging filtrate having accumulated in the cavity structure. In order to avoid the laborious post-treatment or after-treatment of the filter body, the inventive process comprising forming a green filter element comprising powder injection molding said bottom portion in a first mold; opening the first mold; placing a core element on the bottom portion, said core element corresponding in its shape to the cavity structure of the body; powder injection molding said top portion onto said bottom portion and core element in a second mold; opening the second mold; and removing the so produced green filter element comprising the core element; and sintering the green filter element.

  • Publication number: 20050095178
Abstract: The invention pertains to a filter element (1) that can be easily adapted to the respective filtration task and in which the risk of the catalytically active components separating from the filter is largely eliminated. The filter element consists of a dimensionally stable porous formed body (3), the interior of which is partially filled with a catalyst material (8) or a material (8?) that is coated with catalyst material such that a flow channel (10) remains open. It is possible to insert a perforated formed body insert (7, 7?, 7?) that causes the flow channel to remain open. The intermediate space between the formed body (3) and the formed body insert (7, 7?, 7?) is filled with a bulk catalyst material (8) or a bulk material (8?) that is coated with catalyst material.

  • Publication number: 20050061735
Abstract: The invention pertains to a filter element for cross-flow filtration processes, in which essentially all channels for fluid to be filtered, in particular, the inner channels for fluid to be filtered, contribute to the filtration capacity, wherein said filter element should also be easy to handle. This filter element is characterized by the fact that several filtrate channels (8) are arranged between the channels (7, 7?) for fluid to be filtered in the form of a regular arrangement, wherein each filtrate channel (8) is surrounded by at least three channels (7, 7?) for fluid to be filtered All filtrate channels (8) are provided with a common filtrate collection device (30, 30?) on their outflow side which discharges the filtrate.

  • Publication number: 20040067175
Abstract: The reduction of nitrogen oxides in gas is carried out, by means of selective reaction of the nitrogen oxide with the reducing agent in the in the solid catalyst. In order to achieve high catalytic activity, the above is carried out at high gas temperatures. As a rule, ceramic filter elements, coated with catalytic material are used. This does, however, give rise to the risk the catalytically active components are stripped from the filter during the hot gas filtration. A ceramic filter element with support material in the form of particles, with binder material and catalytic material is thus disclosed, whereby the binder material comprises catalytic material, or the binder material is partly replaced by the catalyst material and the support material particles (1) are connected to each other by means of the catalyst and/or binder material.

  • Patent number: 6413307
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a gold containing pigment, a vaporizable gold compound, a vaporizable compound of another metal, which includes an oxide or a nitride with a melting temperature above the melting temperature of gold, and a reaction gas consisting of a mixture of argon and oxygen are introduced into a first microwave plasma, whereby cores covered with gold clusters are formed from the oxide or nitride and the gold cluster covered cores are subjected to a tempering process at 150° C. to 300° C. for causing coloration of the gold cluster covered oxide or nitride cores.
