  • Patent number: 6488011
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-pressure fuel reservoir for a common rail fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, with a tubular base body which has a blind bore extending in the longitudinal direction and a number of connections. In order to improve the high-pressure-tightness and the service life of the high-pressure fuel reservoir, a stopper is disposed in the closed end of the blind bore.

  • Patent number: 6470855
Abstract: A high-pressure fuel reservoir is proposed in which the hydraulic connection between the connection fitting and the reservoir chamber is produced by a number of connecting bores. This reduces the stress peaks in the vicinity of the intersections of the connecting bore and reservoir chamber so that the compression capacity of the high-pressure fuel reservoir increases.

  • Publication number: 20020135275
Abstract: A piezoelectric actuator, for instance for actuating a mechanical component, is proposed that has a multilayer structure of piezoelectric layers and disposed between them inner electrodes (2, 3) and an alternate-side lateral contacting of the inner electrodes (2, 3) via outer electrodes (4, 5). The outer electrodes (4, 5) are applied in network- or fabric-like fashion, each distributed over one side face, and are contacted at least at some points to the respective inner electrodes (2, 3). The outer electrodes (4, 5) are lengthened past the multilayer structure of piezoelectric layers in such a way that the delivery of the electrical voltage takes place at the extensions (8, 9).

  • Publication number: 20020112697
Abstract: In a fuel high pressure accumulator for fuel injection devices an intersecting region between a storage chamber and a connection opening of a connection pipe, as well as a region of an outer wall which is opposite to the connecting region are designed to improve pressure strength.

  • Publication number: 20020113150
Abstract: In a component, in particular a high-pressure part for a fuel injection system, having intersecting bores, at least one bore of the two intersecting bores is designed with a flat region, and the component has inherent compressive stresses in the area of the flat region of the bore. This yields an increase in strength of the component in the area of the intersection point of the two bores.

  • Patent number: 6223726
Abstract: A high-pressure fuel reservoir for a fuel injection system for internal combustion engines, which is supplied with high-pressure fuel by a high-pressure fuel pump and which has connections embodied as connection stubs, from each of the connection stubs one connecting bore discharges into the tubular body eccentrically to the axis of the tubular body. The tubular body is produced by forging, with three connecting stubs and fastening elements formed on by forging.
