  • Publication number: 20150207133
Abstract: A battery includes a housing, at least one individual cell with at least one positive and at least one negative electrode arranged in the housing, a positive tap pole connected to the at least one positive electrode, and a negative tap pole connected to the at least one negative electrode. The battery also includes at least one thermal switch which, in the event of an increase in temperature within the housing beyond a temperature threshold value, changes its switching state as a result of a temperature-induced expansion and/or deformation and trips a safety mechanism which suppresses a further increase in temperature.

  • Publication number: 20140102478
Abstract: The invention describes a system for cleaning sheet- or plate-like objects (10), in particular for cleaning electrodes and/or separators for constructing an electrochemical energy storage means or cleaning parts of such electrodes or separators, wherein the sheet- or plate-like objects (10) have a first object side (11) and a second object side (12), which is situated opposite the first object side, and at least one side surface which connects the first object side (11) and the second object side (12).

  • Publication number: 20140072867
Abstract: An electrode (1) for an electrochemical energy storage apparatus has a contour (2) exhibiting two side edges, wherein a first side edge (3) and a second side edge (4) are interconnected by a connecting section (5). The connecting section (5) comprises a substantially linear region (5a) which transitions into the first side edge (3), and a substantially curved region (5b) which transitions into the second side edge (4). When manufacturing such an electrode the first side edge (3) is created by a first cut, the second side edge (4) is created by a second cut, and the connecting section (5) is created along with the first cut or the second cut.

  • Publication number: 20130295427
Abstract: An electrochemical cell is proposed having an electrical unit, a first frame part and a second frame part, wherein the electrical unit is clamped in the area of the clamping surfaces between the first frame part and the second frame part, characterized in that the electrical energy unit and the first frame part have shape features which match one another and engage in one another such that a relative position of the electrical unit with respect to the first frame part is at least substantially fixed, at least in a state in which the clamping assembly of the frame parts and the electrical unit is released. This allows the electrical unit to be prefixed in the first frame part before production of the clamping assembly, making it possible to prevent the electrical unit from being installed obliquely.

  • Publication number: 20130171494
Abstract: What is proposed is a contact element for connection between electrically conducting, preferably plate-shaped, components, in particular diverters of electrochemical cells, consisting of different materials, wherein the contact element is produced from at least two elements (32, 34), wherein at least two elements are joined by means of laser induction rollers, wherein a first element is adapted for connection to a first of the electrically conducting components, wherein a second element is adapted for connection to a second of the electrically conducting components, and wherein the first and the second element have an electrically conducting connection to one another. Therefore, a connection with high process reliability can be provided between diverters of electrochemical cells.
