Abstract: A brake caliper support for a brake caliper of a disc brake assembly with a brake disc has a brake caliper support bracket provided with at least two fastening sections for connecting the brake caliper support to a steering knuckle of a vehicle. The brake caliper support bracket in a mounted state at the vehicle is positioned opposite a brake disc friction surface of the brake disc. A brake caliper support bridge projects away from the brake caliper support bracket in axial direction of the brake disc and circumferentially surrounds the brake disc at least partially in the mounted state. An arc-shaped air guiding element is disposed at the brake caliper support bracket. The air guiding element is positioned axially opposite the brake disc friction surface of the brake disc in the mounted state. The air guiding element is a protrusion or a recess extending axially, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20230035373
Abstract: A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly is provided with a housing that has a first housing side wall, a second housing side wall, and a housing circumferential wall, wherein the housing circumferential wall extends between the first housing side wall and the second housing side wall. A filter insert with a filter medium is arranged in the housing and extends along one of the first and second housing side walls and along the housing circumferential wall. The filter insert has a curved circumferential edge. The housing has a curved receiving groove. The curved circumferential edge engages the curved receiving groove. The filter insert is L-shaped and is configured to at least partially cover a friction surface and a circumferential surface of a brake disc of the disc brake assembly. The curved circumferential edge of the filter insert projects past the filter medium.

  • Publication number: 20220379255
Abstract: A filter element has a filter medium annularly surrounding a longitudinal axis of the filter element. The filter medium can be flowed through radially from an exterior to an interior and has a plurality of folds. A first end disk is arranged at a first end face of the filter element. A primary air passage and a secondary air passage are provided. The filter medium has an axial recess at the first end face. The first end disk has a channel forming the secondary air passage and extending in the axial recess. The plurality of folds include first folds in a region of the recess and second folds away from the recess. An axial length of the first folds is reduced relative to an axial length of the second folds. An air filter with such filter element and an assembly method for the air filter are provided.

  • Publication number: 20220274039
Abstract: An air filter has a filter housing having a raw air inlet and further has a filter element arranged in the filter housing. The filter element has a filter medium body and an end disk with a central primary air passage and a secondary air passage. The filter medium body annularly surrounds a longitudinal axis of the filter element and separates a raw side in the filter housing from a clean side inside the filter element. The filter housing has a primary air outlet communicating through the primary air passage with the clean side of the filter element. The filter housing has a secondary air outlet communicating through the secondary air passage with the clean side of the filter element. The secondary air outlet communicates with the secondary air passage through a channel arranged at the filter element, wherein the channel surrounds the primary air passage annularly and coaxially.

  • Patent number: 11415089
Abstract: A filter element has a filter medium folded in a star shape that surrounds annularly a longitudinal axis of the filter element and is flowed through radially from exterior to interior. The filter element has a primary air passage and a secondary air passage. In the filter medium, a cutout is formed that penetrates a plurality of folds of the filter medium. A passage socket at which the secondary air passage is formed extends through the cutout. An air filter provided with a filter housing having a raw air inlet, a primary air outlet, and a secondary air outlet, has such a filter element that separates in the filter housing a raw side communicating with the raw air inlet from a clean side. The primary air outlet communicates through the primary air passage and the secondary air outlet through the secondary air passage with the clean side, respectively.
