  • Patent number: 11014497
Abstract: A component (1) for a vehicle having a visible side (11) comprises a first light guide (2), which comprises a light coupling-in surface (25) and a plurality of first light deflection elements (211, 212, 213, 214, 215), wherein light can be coupled into the first light guide (2) through the light coupling-in surface (25), and a plurality of diffuser elements (311, 312, 313, 314, 315) which are designed to scatter light diffusely. The first light deflection elements (211, 212, 213, 214, 215) are each designed to deflect the light coupled into the first light guide (2) by a deflection angle directed in the direction of the diffuser elements (311, 312, 313, 314, 315) so that the diffuser elements (311, 312, 313, 314, 315) scatter said directed light diffusely in the direction of the visible side (11).

  • Publication number: 20190263036
Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a component having a base element (1), which has a front side (10) delimited by an outer edge (11), a rear side (14) and one or more side surfaces (15) that connect the front side (10) to the rear side (14). The component also has a cover layer (2) formed of a coating, said layer being sprayed onto the base element (1), wherein during spraying, the coating is guided through one or more supply channels (16), which extend continuously through the base element (1) to the front side (10) and/or to one or more side surfaces (15). During spraying, the coating is flooded onto at least part of the side surfaces (15).

  • Patent number: 10380924
Abstract: The invention relates to an illuminable display element, in particular for a vehicle, which display element comprises a planar cover (1). The planar cover has a visible side (10), a rear side (11), and at least one opening (14). The display element also comprises at least one graphic element (2), which is provided and/or formed on the visible side (10) of the cover (1), and a lighting means (3), which is used to illuminate the opening (14). The graphic element (2) is at least partially surrounded by the at least one opening (14) in such a way the graphic element (2) can be at least partially peripherally illuminated by the light of the lighting means (3). The cover (1) comprises at least one elevation (12) extending upward, within which the graphic element (2) is arranged above the at least one opening (14), and/or the cover (1) comprises at least one recess (13) extending downward, within which the graphic element (2) is arranged below the at least one opening (14).
