    Abstract: A process of manufacturing an electrochemical gas sensor is provided and an electrochemical gas sensor is obtainable by this process. The process includes the steps of: providing a substrate, the substrate having a through opening configuration including one or more through openings formed in the normal direction of the substrate, applying electrode material to an upper surface of the substrate and/or to a lower surface of the substrate, bonding the electrode material and the substrate so that the through opening configuration is closed by the electrode material to obtain a contact surfaces configuration including one or more contacts electrically contactable on the lower surface of the substrate opposite to the upper surface.

The measuring electrode and the hydrophilic membrane are disposed in the housing inner area. The hydrophilic membrane has a membrane arm for receiving the reference electrode. The membrane arm extends from the housing inner area into the housing outer area so that the reference electrode is disposed in the housing outer area.

    Abstract: A gas measuring device (100) measures cyanogen in the presence of hydrogen cyanide. The gas measuring device (100) includes a measuring chamber (101), a heating element (103, 203) and an electrochemical sensor (105, 200). The measuring chamber (101) is configured to receive a sample. The heating element (103) is configured to thermally decompose cyanogen contained in the sample into decomposition products. The sensor (105, 200) is configured to detect the decomposition products of cyanogen, which are obtained by the thermal decomposition. A process measures cyanogen in the presence of hydrogen cyanide.
