  • Publication number: 20080217915
Abstract: A method and a device are provided for interconnecting, sealed against contamination, the ends of tubes by two cooperating connecting means, each having an inlet and an outlet for connection to each other. The connecting means each have a connecting plane, into which the outlets open, each covered by a protective means, and which are movable into engagement with each other with the outlets facing each other. A locking element, which is slidably arranged on one connecting means, is, in a controlled manner and without interruption of the sliding movement, movable onto the other connecting means to a distinct end position. The protective means are removable by means of the locking element when this is moved, and the outlets are sealingly pressable against each other. The locking element is prevented from moving until a predetermined force is applied in the moving direction.

  • Patent number: 7140834
Abstract: A turbine including a rotor (1) that is driven by gas and that has a housing (2) enclosing the rotor. The turbine includes a component (6) suspended from the housing (2) that is arranged inside the housing (2) and at least partially beside the rotor (1) with respect to the direction (5) of the gas flow in order to impede any fragments which may come loose from the rotor from penetrating the housing in radial direction.

  • Patent number: 6568844
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for treatment of material in a vessel, particularly for dispersion or homogenization of liquids, or for suspension of solids in liquids. The device comprises a treatment element that is rotationally mounted in the vessel and that has an essentially tubular configuration comprising two ends. The jacket of the treatment element has a plurality of cuts formed with sharp edges, which may be drawn through the material in the vessel as the treatment element rotates, in order to transfer shearing forces to said material. The shearing forces produce the desired treatment in the vessel.

  • Patent number: 6032543
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for introduction and/or withdrawal of a medium into/form an apertured container, and it comprises at least one transfer (1) for transferring medium to or from the container, and at leant one seal. The seal is incorporated as a sealingly mounted part of the transfer member (1) and the transfer member (1) is by means of a fastening device (3), via the seal, sealingly secured to the container of a fastening device (3), via the seal, sealingly secured to the container aperture during use and them forms a closed system together with the container. The transfer member (1) is removable for replacement thereof after use and the seal has a sealable channel to interconnect the transfer member (1) and the container interior during use.

  • Patent number: 5398615
Abstract: A method of separating from one another subcombat units transported by a rotationally-stabilized carrier body to a predetermined target area. The method comprises the steps of:ejecting the subcombat units and a plurality of masses or bodies from the carrier body;utilizing rotational energy from the rotationally-stabilized carrier body to generate axially directed separation forces in the masses or bodies, the separation forces acting concentrically in relation to a common center axis of the carrier body; andseparating the subcombat units from one another so that they spread out and each cover a predetermined portion of a target area by utilizing the separation forces in the masses or bodies to cause the separation of the subcombat units after their ejection from the carrier body.
