  • Publication number: 20070225596
Abstract: The present invention relates to an implant (115) fixable relative to a target area (117) within a living body (105), comprising a transmitter (7; 107; 207; 307) arranged to emit an electromagnetic signal, wherein said electromagnetic signal is adapted to propagate with a wavelength 2 in said living body (105) so that a phase difference of said electromagnetic signal in at least three positions, preferably four, separated by a known distance (b) is detectable by a receiver (9; 109; 209; 309) for tracking variations of a position (p) of the implant (115) relative to said receiver (9; 109; 209; 309). Further, the present invention relates to an apparatus (1; 101; 201; 301), a system and a method for tracking a position (p) of a transmitter (7; 107; 207; 307). Additionally, the invention relates to the use of such a method for treatment of a target area (117) in a living body (105) by means of a radiation therapy treatment arrangement (100).

  • Publication number: 20050110208
Abstract: A method and apparatus for transporting articles comprising single sheets or short stacks of single sheets from a collating machine to a high speed newspaper and/or commercial inserter utilizes a conveyor apparatus intermediate the collator and inserter that twists or rotates the articles through one-quarter turn as they move in succession and at high speed along their path of travel. The one-quarter turn rotation is carried out around an axis that extends longitudinally of the path of travel of the articles from the collator to the inserter. Special twister belts are utilized to grip and convey the articles as they pass through the article rotating portion of the apparatus. Such quarter-turn rotation orients the articles into a radial orientation for direct insertion into rapidly moving pockets of the inserter machine which are preferably moving in a circular path of travel in a plane that is perpendicular to the inserting path of travel of the articles.

  • Patent number: 6455025
Abstract: Polysaccharide-somatostatin analogs of the formula: wherein the somatostatin analog is directly or indirectly coupled from a terminal N-amino group of the somatostatin analog to a polysaccharide, and the polysaccharide-somatostatin analog is provided with an effective negative charge. The compounds are useful in diagnosing and treating cancers.

  • Patent number: 5937839
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clay pigeon throwing machine comprising a secondary throwing table (29), elements (130, 154) for placing clay pigeons in a throwing position on the throwing table (29), a throwing arm (75) fixedly secured to a main axle (60), which main axle (60) is connected to an element (70) for urging the throwing arm (75) in a rapid acceleration and thus throwing the clay pigeon from the throwing table (29). The invention is characterized in that the elements (130, 154) are arranged so as to place two clay pigeons in throwing position so that two clay pigeons are thrown simultaneously in the same plane by the throwing arm (75).

  • Patent number: 5026535
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for decoloring sulphuric acid produced in accordance with the contact method, comprising one or more absorption circuits. The produced sulphuric acid is decolored by adding hydrogen peroxide to the system. The method is characterized by adding the hydrogen peroxide to the sulphuric acid in the final absorption circuit, and by maintaining the temperature in this circuit above about 70.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4903581
Abstract: An arrangement for preventing mist and ice formation on the side window of a motor vehicle, primarily a rear side-window in the door of the vehicle. A fan, an inlet duct and an outlet air supply duct are arranged between an outer panel and an inner panel in the door of the vehicle below the window. The fan draws air from the vehicle interior through the inlet duct and blows air out toward the window which can thereby be quickly cleared of mist and ice. The outlet from the air supply duct has a plurality of outlet passages with air directed surfaces that are oriented for blowing air in diffreent directions over the window.

  • Patent number: 4800897
Abstract: Device for detection of relative motions or positions of one or more parts of the body, comprising at least two measuring sensors which are applied to the parts of the body whose motions or positions are to be measured. Signals from the sensors are transmitted to a signal processor for storing and/or analyzing. The measuring sensors are connected to the fulcrums of a parallelogram action linkage which is attached to the parts of the body whose relative movements or positions are to be detected. The imaginary axes about which some of the above-mentioned motions take place form a part of the parallelogram action linkage.
