  • Patent number: 8212479
Abstract: A high-pressure discharge lamp having a discharge vessel with a central part that bulges out and which defines a lamp axis with a sealing part being attached to each end of the discharge vessel. The shaft of in each case one electrode, comprising a head and a shaft, is sealed in the sealing part, and a capillary tube closely surrounding the shaft of the electrode is between the central part of the discharge vessel and the sealing part. A tubular neck is integrally formed as a component of the discharge vessel between the central part and the capillary tube, and is separated from the shaft.

  • Patent number: 8120256
Abstract: A direct current discharge lamp with an anode (10) and a cathode (12) that are arranged opposite one another at a predetermined distance (r) inside a discharge vessel (14) filled with a filling gas, it being possible to apply electric power (P) to the anode (10) and the cathode (12) in order to produce a gas discharge. At least the predetermined distance (r) between the anode (10) and the cathode (12), the electric power (P) and a geometry of the anode (10) are adapted to one another in such a way that a region (22) of a surface (24) of the anode (10) facing the cathode (12) is free flowing in the heated state of the direct current discharge lamp.

  • Patent number: 8084944
Abstract: A lamp device (1), wherein the lamp device (1) has at least one contact conductor (31) and a vessel (20) for enclosing a gas. The vessel (20) delimits a primary volume (40) and a secondary volume (41), the primary volume (40) and the secondary volume (41) being interconnected by a transitional region (21) of the vessel (20). The contact conductor (31) runs through the transitional region, and the contact conductor (31) has a recess (33) that is arranged in the transitional region.
