  • Patent number: 10441514
Abstract: A process for creating cold emulsions for cosmetic use involves creating a gel component by exfoliating silicate compounds with catalysts and organic materials under pressure and mixing the resulting components with water, mixing an oil phase with additional powdered components as desired, and mixing the gel component with the oil phase in a high shear mixer until a Pickering emulsion is created. The resulting emulsion is simple to manufacture, stable for long periods of time, and has a desirable texture for cosmetic use.

    Filed: October 14, 2016
Date of Patent: October 15, 2019
    Assignee: Arclay Natural Technologies Inc.
Inventors: Sophie Rochette, Stephan Doyon, Maria Elkurdi

  • Publication number: 20130103550
Abstract: A method of presenting to a user a subset of digital goods that may be executed by a computing device is disclosed, where the subset of applications is selected from a plurality of digital goods available in an online marketplace for such digital goods. The method includes ranking the digital goods based on at least one signal, statistically sampling the ranked digital goods based on their rankings, where higher-ranked digital goods are favored over lower-ranked digital goods in the statistical sampling, and presenting the statistically sampled digital goods in the online marketplace to the user in an order based on the statistical sampling, where at least one lower-ranked digital good is presented before a higher-ranked digital good.
